CASSY's POV "Are you sure?" I asked for the nth time. Brittany glanced at me, and blew lightly at her nails, "Ye-es, Cassy. I don't care." I bit my lip. Ever since the Alexander incident, I was so scared that she'd be mad. She claimed that she didn't care anymore. I don't know. "Sure? Beca-" Shot me outta sky, you're my kryptonite I made a lung for my phone. "Hello?" I asked, not bothering to check the number. "Cassy?" the voice said, sobbing. My heart stopped. I knew that voice anywhere. "Abi?!" I said, shocked. Brittany glanced at me, scowling. She still didn't like Abi. Abi hiccuped, "Please....Cassy......help me....." Then the line went dead.
Double update! ABI's POV It started on a normal day. School, work, home. The usual routine. I was at work.. "Thank you for purchasing Book Nook, come back soon!" I said with fake cheerfulness. I glanced at the clock again. Five minutes left. The bell to the front door jingled, making a tinkling noise that was starting to get on my nerves. "Welcome to the Book Nook! How may I help you?" I bent down and got some paper for the reciept. "Go on away with me." I froze. What? I slowly peeped up at the counter. "Excuse me?" I said, staring at the customer. Ohmygosh. I knew this customer. "Leo?!" I asked, shocked. Leo smirked, "Hel-lo. Can I talk to you?" "Uh..I'm on my shift, sorry." For once, I was thankful for this cr*ppy job. "Hey, Abs! Your shifts over. My turn." the resident *****, Maya said. **** you Maya. "I see that it's over. Can we talk?" Leo smiled, triumphantly. I had no choice. I slowly removed my nametag and eyed him carefully. "Yes?" I demanded, once we were out of Maya's earshot. "Run away with me." he said. I stared at him, my jaw hanging, "What? No!" Leo sighed, "I'm sorry for having to do this. You've ruined my life far enough. I'm sorry." Then he knocked me out. I opened my eyes and my vision cleared. "L-Leo?" I said, scared. "Hello, Abigail." a voice said from the shadows. "W-What are you going to do to me?" I shrank smaller into the corner he had tossed me in. The room is dark and it smelled bad. There are cabinets here and there. "Kill you." he answered simply. "W-What?!" My heart was beating so hard now. "You've ruined my life. Everyone thinks I'm a jerk. No schools will accept me because of that lawsuit your little Carter filed." he smirked, "Don't act surprised. Of course we got into a fight after the party. I won, but he became a wuss and filed a case. So I'm taking it out on you. Goodbye. It'll be short, I promise." He raised the gun I didn't notice he was holding. *click* "****" Leo cursed and pressed the trigger again and again. Nothing. "Damn, need more bullets. Don't move." he exited the room. I started hyperentilating. What do I do? Call someone, a part in my head said. My phone! We weren't allowed to bring it during out shifts, but he-llo, I don't follow those ****. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and called the first speed dial available. Cassy. She picked up after two rings, "Hello?" "Cassy." I started crying. She paused, "Abi?!" I heard the doorknob twist open. "Please...Cassy....help me...." Suddenly the phone was kicked out of my hand. "What, did you call Carter?" Leo hissed, "It's time, *****." he lifted the gun. I closed my eyes. I'm sorry Cassy. So is this how it was going to end? Like this? Being murdered for unjust reasons? Leo pulled the trigger. Goodbye.
