    And now back to the topic proper! We are always digressing! 

    One huge "ripoff" was the bubble-tea craze in my country during the 1990s. One shop opened and when business boomed, other copycat stores jumped into the wagon too! I think there were over 1000 stores selling the same stuffs at its peak! 

    Exaggerating, but you understand the situation. 
