I roll my eyes. "It is impressive… can you try it again?"

 

Kris: Um, sure... *Closes eyes again*

 

*Lightning strikes Kris again*

Kris: *Redirects it again, hitting a boulder, which breaks apart*

 

"Okay... this time, direct the lightning towards me." I say, standing up.

 

Kris: I don't think that's a good idea...

Cloud: Neither do I...

 

"Please? I want to try something." I say

 

Kris: Fine... *Closes his eyes again*

 

I brace myself, holding my hand out.

 

Kris: *Lightning strikes and he directs it towards Raven*

Using my powers to their fullest extent, a forcefield appears from my hand, blocking the lightning at the last second.

 

Kris: *Is impressed*

Cloud: *Sees what's about to happen and tackles Raven as her shield breaks*

(Cloud's an intuitive, not quite a mind reader, but partially able to see the future as well)

 

(gasp!)
I gasp in surprise as the lightning strikes where I was a few moments ago. Looking up at Cloud in awe, I finally speak "How did you know that would happen...?"

 

Cloud: Not sure... I just kinda... Knew...

 

Kris: Are you to ok?!

 

(*two)

 

I nod, still a bit shaken up. "Yeah... I'm okay."

 

Kris: *Sighs in relief* Thank God... I warned you that this was a bad idea...

 

"But, now I know I can use forcefields." I say, lifting Cloud and myself up with my powers. I concentrate on my hand, and a transparent forcefield appears.

 

Kris: And I know that I can break them...
