Yay! Valentine's day! I haven't recieved a card or anything in so long... *heavy sigh* <3 Goodluck, contestants! I'm using Arisu and Naoki here. XP ---- Valentines day... The day where coupls held hands and celebrated... The day where nothing else mattered, where roses bloomed and everyone smiled... "Arisu..." The day where confessions were made, where the girl would swoon over her lover... "Naoki...?" Where romances were created... "Would you-" The day... Where Cupid accidentally shot a different person. "Yes?" "Get out of my life?" It was the day... Where a single arrow caused an entire relationship to crumble into pieces. ---- "Get out of my life?" Arisu stood there, her jaw hanging open as she dropped her school books. "Hn..? Naoki-kun-" "It's Naoki-san to you, Arisu." "But-" "Good day." Naoki walked away, leaving Arisu alone, her books dropped as she scrambled to find words. Her lips were sealed and specs of tears formed in her eyes. "If that's what you want, Naoki." ---- "Hn?! Arisu-chan! Naoki dissed you?!" "In front of the entire class and a smitten Mitsuko, yes..." "How could he?! Arisu, we are going shopping to sooth your distress!" "Baka! I don't have money!" Yuki took out her wallet and held it in my face, and I only gawked at her. "Are you serious? Your-" "Oka-san won't mind! Father is just overprotective, that's all! Anything for my bestfriend!" "Hnn..." I sunk in my chair and played with the spoon, slurping the Ultimate Parfait Yuki had bought for us... The vanilla icecream melted in my mouth and I exhaled, leisurely taking in the sensation of relaxation. "Arisu... Come on... Kimiko is waiting..." "Kimiko can wait a bit more..." Yuki giggled before pulling me out of the chair, slamming a thousand yen note on the table, shocking the waiter and customers inside the cafe. "Let's gooo!" ----- "Kimiko-chan!" We sang simultaneously, before stepping inside her car. Yuki pulled out her makeup bag and I only shouted in protest. "Come on! We're doing this to find you a boyfriend! Better than that Naoki." "But-" "No BUTS! KIMIKO!" Kimiko sneered before revving the engine, looking at me then smiled. "Ouch, Arisu. Naoki left you for that Mitsuko and her posse?" "I hope not..." My insides churned as I thought of Naoki, making out on her dining table. I shuddered at the thought before glancing over to Yuki, my redheaded bestfriend. She had her cap on and put on her makeup, before turning to me and winked. I sank lower into my seat, shutting my eyes as I thought of my happy place... Which wasn't much of use since it was all about him. "Ai, Arisu. We're here!" I opened my eyes as Kimiko pushed us out of her car. She parked it before grabbing us and pulling us to her close, walking to the elevator. "Clothing department!" Yuki and Kimiko yelled into the speaker, and I tried to muffle my laugh. "What's so funny?!" "Well- no need to be so loud!" "Yeah right." We had walked out of the elevator, bumping into a man by accident. "Oh- sorry." I didn't glance up at him and stepped away, but Yuki immediately began talking to him. That meant one thing.... "What a cutie-pie you are! My friend Arisu here is sooo into hot dudes! You are sooo her type!" Yuki had pulled me over to him, pushing me to her chest. My blush was getting redder and I glanced up at him, seeing that he was in the same situation as I am. Helplessly blushing like a fool. "That's flattering but..." "No! No! I mean..." I had spoken! Hail Yuki's indiscriminat tactics that lure men into her spider web! "I mean... No... Er... Sorry..." I stepped away from him and didn't dare to look up. I could already imagine his hazel eyes glaring at me, but I shook it off. "No... er... Miss... I..." "Arisu-chan! Me and Kimiko will be off now~!" I scowled as they laughed, holding hands and walking away. I swear to God that girl could be such a bitch sometimes! "... Arisu-chan... Arisu is a nice name..." I glaced up at him and smiled, biting on my bottom lip. "Thank you... What's yours...?" "Hiro... Hi-Hiro..." "Nice to meet you... Hiro-san..." I gulped and prayed to God that he wouldn't reject me and leave. "Well... That's nice... But I have to go- I'm sorry Arisu-" "Wait! Can we... Talk at the cafe or something...?" --- Dx
------ It was quiet... We went to a ramen shop and ordered our food. Hiro chose the Fukahire Shark Fin Ramen and I chose the Hakata Ramen. We ate in silence, but I always felt him sneaking peeks at me. As we ate, I glanced over at him and caught a glimpse of his hazel hair that was ruffled, much like his eyes that told me he was reckless. I was staring a while later, and Hiro was peeping at me again. We both blushed and ate in silence, hearing occasional sipping sounds as we ate. We were both finished, and shot our hand up immediately. "Waiter!" We called out simultaneously and we blushed even more, but I ignored it. The waiter came and I took out my wallet, furiously scanning to see if I had a few hundred yen to spare... I was about to pull out my last five hundred, until Hiro grabbed my wrist an thrust out two thousand. My eyes bulged as the waiter took it, trying to conceal his smirk. It costed only three hundred in total, but it looked as if he wanted to pay for our food. "Hiro-san..." "No.. Er.. It's okay, Arisu-chan. Call me Hiro. No need for formalities." "Well in that case, It's Arisu only." I smiled at him, and he smiled back. We were enjoying the silence until the waiter came back, ruining the moment. He held our money and bowed courtiously. "We hoped you enjoyed your meal! Arigato, sayonara!" We both waved goodbye, and the last thing I knew, Hiro's hand connected to mine. "... Hiro-" "Oh! I'm sorry Arisu- I didn't mean-" "No... It's okay... I... Like it..." I was blushing madly now, the crimson color staining my cheeks. I breathed in and out like Yuki told me to whenever I felt like fainting from these heart bursts. I glanced up to Hiro and he was smiling, nodding before gripping my hand a bit more firmly. It was gentle, his hand, and soft... ---- Hiro had refused to let me go back, and I smiled at his overprotectiveness. We were windowshopping, and I looked at one of the items they were selling. It was a Cinnamonroll doll, and I giggled. I had always wanted one when I was a few years younger, but my mother insisted on not pampering me. Even a bit. I didn't disobey. It was for my own good and I loved her for that. I didn't want to end up like Mitsuko. "Hiro, look! It's Cinnamonroll and Hello Kitty!" I was smiling as the shop had bright lights and all the merchandise in it. Hiro told me to stay put and he rushed inside the store. I was giggling more, he was acting so strange! "Ahh!! Arisu-chan!!" Hinata-chan rushed up to me, holding the shopping bags, clarifying tha she was out shopping for something to impress Nagato. "Hn? Oh! Hinata-chan! How are you?" The girl with black curls only chuckled before pulling Nagato close. I gasped as I stared at her. It seemed she had finally seduced him! Before Valentines day too! "Nagato-san!" "Arisu-chan! How are you?" I smiled before answering them. Of course, I cut out the Hiro and Naoki part. "How nice! Ooh- we better go! It seems as if your boyfriend is here, Arisu! Tell me all the details when we're back at school!" I gasped as Nagato and Hinata departed, and I turned around to see Hiro carrying two bags. "Hiro! What are-" "Presents for you, Arisu." I stared up at him in disbelief. "But- we only met for an hour and-" "Trust me. From all the other people in my life I've seen, you're the kindest of them all..." He trailed off before smiling again. He dropped a bag on the floor before grabbing a necklace out, locking it in place as I gasped. It was so kawaii... It was a pink ribbon decorated with pearls. "Wear it for me everytime we meet?" "Yes... Thank you Hiro..." I pursed my lips and enveloped him in a bear hug. He chuckled before grabbing the bags, nudging me in the ribs lightly to tell me to go. "Come on! We still have a lot of shops to go to!" "Hiro! No! You've used too much on me already!" "Money is not a problem, princess. Now come on!" ---
------- "Oh-M-Gee! Arisu! Arisu! Get your perky ass over here!" I turned around and flushed as I saw Yuki and Kimiko walking out of the... er... adult store... "Arisu... Are they your friends...?" "Um... Ye-yeah..." Yuki grabbed me by the waist and dragged me back to Kimiko, and I waved goodbye to Hiro for a moment. "I told you! Matchmaker Yuki to the rescue!" "... I hate you." "Hey! Duty calls! It's the time of the m-" "Shush! I know! I know! God! You are so annoying! Don't tell me! I already know you bought yourselves stripper outfits!" "Push up bras and the nurse outfit I've always wanted, duh." I nearly fainted before pushing myself away from her, walking back to Hiro. She was grinning and hi-fived Kimiko, enraging me more. "What interesting friends you have, Arisu..." "Sorry about that Hiro... Er..." "It's alright. We should go now..." He handed me the bags and was about to turn around until I grabbed his arm, taking out my phone in the process. "Hiro- er... Can I have your phone number?" He smiled before we exchanged numbers, then parted ways. "Oi! Arisu! He your cupid?" Kimiko was laughing by now, her pink and blue curls bouncing as she did. Yuki joined in, her fire red hair sashaying around when she slapped Kimiko's back every now and then. "Shush! Hiro's a friend..." "Yeah. Met him in about three hours then you were about to kiss him!" She was right. I was going to kiss him. A mere peck on the lips for buying the things for me. We both leaned in until Yuki had to scream out my name from the adult shop she entered... "Ai. You'll get your kiss next time. Don't rush it." "Hm..." ---- Yuki had to go home, her father was going to force her to wear a lace dress for her piano performance... And make her dye her hair raven black. "Eh... Kimiko, where are you staying?" My eccentric and laid back classmate, Kimiko, looked like she slept in an alleyway. My doubts of her having a home was pretty much cleared when she showed up to school in a mess with a cat hanging on her shoulders. "At a motel." I breathed in before nodding, about to exit before I stopped to look at her. "Where did you get your ride?" "A present from my dad." "... I'm sorry." Kimiko threw her cigarette away before turning to me, smiling. "Don't sweat it princess. I'll call you if I have a breakdown or something." "You know I'm there for you, Kim." We parted ways, hugging each other before I went inside the house, ready to welcome my dog scratching my legs. ---- Mwahahahaha. Cupid! Cupid! Get any ideas, hm?
