Chapter 3 "So how different will I be..?" She asked after a slight pause. "Well that depends on what your body does with my blood, everyone has different kinds of blood, and everyone has different bodies, so we won't be sure until the change is over." I explained. She listened, seeming to take this information alright. "Will it hurt.. The change?" She asked curiously. "Every day there will be a different way you feel, there might just be one day of pain, which is the most unpleasant part about the turn." I said remembering back to the agony I had went through when I was turned. It felt like every bone in my body was being broken over and over again, and the massive burning pain in my heart, made breathing almost not possible. I shuddered in pain now realizing the pain I was putting this girl through, was I ever going to do something right in my life? She nodded, looking like she was deep in thought, but looked up at me with a small frown. "So I'll have to drink blood?" She said looking like she was about to be sick again, but she shook it off quickly before I could act. "Yes, and a lot of it for the first month of your change, you won't have any control at all, you would most likely attack and kill any human close by." I said with a sigh. "So I shouldn't go home." She said hope sparkling in her eyes, which confused me a little. "Nope, not until you at least have some control not to kill your parents." I said watching het closely. She now was smiling for the first time, actually seeming fine by this. "Good, that I can handle." She said eagerly. I stared at her now, not able to hold back my growing questions. "Do you mind explaining your joy of not going home, it's a little strange, most humans wouldn't have took this news well." I said with a puzzled look at her. She gently shrugged making her blanket of perfect dark brown curls bounce. I could barely pull my eyes away from this movement, but somehow I had, and was looking into her big blue eyes. "Let's just say my life kinda sucks back home, that's all." She said, and I could tell this was all she wanted to say. I nodded with a sad smile. I couldn't image a human life being so bad that they would run away and life with vampires, so I'm sure here is more to this story, but for now I'll respect her privacy it's the least I could do after doing this to her. "Any way, what's your name?" She wondered looking me over more with a sneaky glance that made me smile, she doesn't know yet that vampires rarely miss these things. "Elijah." I said extending my hand out to her politely, and my smile grew as she took my hand, letting the electricity buzz between our hands, and I couldn't help but flip her hand over still pressed in mine and lean down kissing her hand, feeling my lips burn without pain. I watched as her face warmed, and gave me a smile. "I'm Emma." She said with a slight stutter that made me chuckle. I didn't know why but I liked that I seemed to make her nervous. "It's a pleasure to meet you Emma." I said unwillingly pulling my hand away. She cleared her throat a little now, with a shy smile. "Nice meeting you to Elijah." She said, and I tried to hide the shudder that shook my body at the way she spoke my name. What was with me? Bump?
