ÐℰąϮℌ'ʂ ⻏ḽąⅆє Chapter 1 All I'm saying is I think you should get out of the house for a while.." Vex said rolling his eyes with annoyance on his face. I grunted, not looking at him from my book, doing my best to ignore him. "When was it the last time you even hunted, are trying to kill yourself again?" He continued. I growled in frustration, setting my book to the side and looking at Vex. "Do me a favor and leave me alone." I muttered, but he still heard loud and clear. "I don't think so Elijah your going hunting right now and leaving this nasty room. I glanced at my neatly kept room, there wasn't even a trace of dirt anywhere, just a few books sitting out, and a couple CDs. "It's not nasty," I defended with an irrigated look to him. "Yeah it is, it almost smells human, not even a faint smell of blood, it's boring." Vex said leaning on my door crossing his arms. "I'm not thirsty..." I lied smoothly, looking him in the eye with complete seriousness. "I've lived with you for centuries I can tell when your lying, get off that bed, and get going." Vex warned. I hissed but reluctantly stood up, and walked over to him narrowing my eyes into slits. "I hate you.." I grumbled. Vex laughed at this, rolling his eyes not at all bothered. "I know, now get." He said with a smirk and pushed me out of my room. I winced as I took in the bright sun, I had been well hidden in the dark comfort of my room for months, so being out in the sun again would take some time to get used to. I sighed as my eyes slowly adjusted to the light, and looked around the small house we had moved into about a year ago. It was very plain, simple, and humans usually never wondered this far from town, perfect for two vampires to stay out of public eye yet stay fed. I felt bad hunting humans, who was I to take the life of an innocent person just to preserve my own life. Every human I killed put me farther and farther into a depression. That's why I stay locked up in my room, away from everyone, I can't handle the guilt. Even after centuries of killing I still haven't grown immune to the guilt like Vex and most other vampires have. I glanced at myself passing the mirror in the hallway and shuddered as I took in my dark purple eyes, the dark circles under my eyes; appearing to be from lack of sleep, and my Carmel colored hair spiking out in all kinds of different directions. It was hard to tell really if my eyes were black or purple because of how dark the purple was, the darker my eyes got showed how thirsty I was. I slowly made my way to the door, sliding on my sunglasses, and my shoes before walked outside for the first time in months. I took a big breath, and admitted only to myself that I really needed that. It helped clear my mind, and make thinking so much easier. I walked calmly through the forest, taking in the nature around me, and mentally preparing myself for the hunt. It was just one human right, the world wouldn't end, just another person found dead by a "animal" attack, or a suicide attempt. I had been so deeply in my thoughts that when I had bumped into something warm and fragile I acted quickly wrapping one arm around it keeping it from falling over. My throat burn feeling like acid was being poured down my mouth as I looked down at the human I had just ran into. Without hesitation I sunk my fangs into it's neck, unable to resist it, it had been to long since I hunted, my control has seriously slipped. I drank quickly, soothing the agony in my throat, and soon my thoughts were clear and I looked down at the human screaming in fear and pain. It was a girl, she looked my age, well the age I was frozen at, and she was gorgeous. Her hair a pretty dark brown color, the brightest and biggest blue eyes I ever saw, and dark sun kissed skin. Her beauty startled me, and somehow I pulled away from her, taking cautious steps away from her. She sunk to the ground crying in pain, looking up at me with fear. "What did you do it me?" She stuttered out, and I felt my insides tying up in painful knots at the guilt. Bump? Chapter 2 "I'm so sorry.." I said looking down in pain. I have just ruined this girls life that's what I did, now she would be trapped in my world, a vampire like me. I walked to her slowly, showing her I wasn't going to hurt her, and laid my hand on her bleeding neck, ignoring the burning in my throat again. She winced, and tried moving away from me, but I looked into her eyes seriously, getting a little distracted by them. "I won't hurt you." I said. The girl stared back at me, and hesitantly nods, just watching me. I quickly took my hand away and licking a little at my hand before biting my hand, and my purple blood to begin to ooze from my palm. Gently I took my bleeding hand and placed it over the place I had bit her. She winced a bit as I did so, but didn't pull away from me. I gently stroked her cheek to soothe her, and my hand froze at the sparks I felt. She tensed to, but relaxed after a minute, and I continued to caress her warm cheek. When I pulled both my hands away from her, I was hit with a brief feeling of loss, but ignored the feeling. "You have one week.." I spoke to her, watching her expression closely. Her eyes widened. "To live..?" She said fear and horror stirring in her eyes. She might as well be. "Not exactly, in a week, you'll be like me." I said looking down, not meeting her gaze. After a slight pause she spoke. "What are you?" She asked. A monster, a beast, a killer, all of those things summed up in one word. "I'm a vampire." I muttered, self loathingly. "But.. I thought vampires were just make believe, bad nightmares..?" She spoke, her expression holding doubt. "Surprise, vampires are most certainly real." I stated seriously. "And why should I believe you?" She said with a frown. "What would make you believe?" I shrugged. "Some proof would be nice." She said crossing her arms to look at me. I nodded, and slowly tilted my head back, opening my mouth, pointing to my razor sharply pointed teeth. Her eyes went wide looking at them, and seemed to glum. "Some pointy teeth isn't proving anything, you could just be some weirdo." She said. I struggled not to smile at her words. "Alright, I guess the best way to prove this to you is to show you my powers." I said. I hated to show her this, I didn't want her to fear me anymore then she already did. She nodded eagerly watching me. I calmly walked to a tree, ripping a large piece off. I turned to her, watching into her eyes, as I concentrated my powers up from deep hole in my chest, rolling energy out to my arms and finally shooting out a blaze of purple flames. The pieces of wood light a purple wave of fire, burning until it disappeared from my hands. "Is this poof enough." I said with a smug grin at her amazed expression. She stuttered with a nod. "Yep I believe you." She said with a weak laugh. "Now I'm sure you have questions." I said looking her over, hope she would take everything well. She now was trying to stand, looking like she was about to get sick. I quickly picked her up, and turned her body towards a bush for her to puke in. She was puking purple, this was the sign her change was just starting. I waited patiently, still holding onto her, making sure she doesn't choke it back. When she finished she looked at me with tears filling her eyes, and embarrassment clouding her face as I let her go. "Sorry about that." She said wiping her tears away. Pity, and guilt filled me at her words, and the urge to just hold this girl close and comfort her was so great it took all my control to not move towards her. "There is nothing to be sorry for, you might be doing that often during your change, which you can't help." I said trying to reassure her. She sighed at this, and nods. I still couldn't believe I had just doomed with sweet girl. Bump?
