New in Town

C.J:

I sat in class and all I could think about was Lucy. The way her face turned the cutest shade of red when she was nervous, How her beautiful hazel eyes glowed with the light and , how her long black hair flowed in the wind. I was a man in love and I never wanted to replace that feeling. The bell rang for second period and I dashed out of class to go wait for Lucy but, as I walked out the classroom door I saw Monica standing there waiting for me. She walked over to me and handed me a pink envelope.

"Hey babe I wanted to invite you to Frankie and my party." She said with a huge smile on her face. "First off I'm not your babe! We broke up remember?! and second why are you guys having a party?!" I replied in disgust. "Oh C.J what crawled up your butt. I throw a party every year or have you forgotten." she said. She's right! I thought to myself. "Oh well I'll see if we can make it but, no promises." I responded. "W-w-we... you mean that girl who stole you away from me. Oh well umm she's invited to as a matter of fact I was going to give her, her invite at lunch." She said. I could tell she was still hurting but there was nothing I could do, Monica wasn't going to be happy unless we got back together and that was never going to happen. "Okay Monica well I've gotta go, I'll see you later." I said walking away before she got a chance to respond. I knew that people were going to expect me to be at that party but if Lucy wasn't going I wasn't either.


Lucy: I walked out of my first period class expecting C.J to be posted on the wall waiting for me as he always is but, instead of seeing him I saw an empty wall with no C.J in sight. Where could he be I started panicking he's always here right on time. I stood there frozen in the center of the hall wall. I could feel the tears starting to form in my eyes and the pit of my stomach was starting to tighten. Then I felt someone grab my hand. "Waiting for me?!" A smooth familiar voice spoke. I looked up and it was C.J of course. I wrapped my arms around him and stood up on my tipy-toes and kissed his soft lips. "Where were you?! I was waiting for you I got nervous when I didn't see you." I said pulling away from his strong arms. " I am so sorry Lucy I ran into Monica because she wanted to invite us to..." He started saying before I interrupted. " Her and Frankie's party! Yea I heard about it." I said frowning. "Don't worry your pretty little face about it. If you don't want to go I am not going either." He responded with a smile. " Really, that is so sweet C.J but I uhh.. think we should go." I said. What the heck was I talking about I don't want to go. Why did I just say that. "You.. You do?!" C.J said in shock. "Yea, I think we need to show them that they can't break us no matter how hard they try." I said in total confidence. I don't know what was coming over me but, when I am around C.J I don't have a care in the world and the sky is the limit. "You got it beautiful so we'll go." He said pulling me in for another kiss before we walked to class.

C.J:

At Lunch Lucy and I walked over to the popular table. As soon as we got there Monica was in Lucy's face handing her a pink envelope.

"Hey Lucy I wanted to invite you to Frankie and my party next Saturday." Monica said with a smirk on her face. "I heard about it, We'll be there. She said squeezing my hand tightly. "ohh... You will.. great! I throw the best parties." Monica said as everyone at the table nodded in agreement.

I looked over at Frankie who was watching Lucy like a hawk. That made me want to launch over the table and beat the crap out of him, but I kept my cool.
"Alright well we will catch you guys later." I said gesturing Lucy away. I took Lucy outside to sit for lunch. I couldn't stand being around Monica and Frankie, they were up to something and I could feel it in my bones.

"Are you okay?! C.J." Lucy said with a puzzled look on her face. " Yeah I'm fine. Why do you ask?!" I said trying to sound convincing. "Well, you seemed really tense when we were talking to Monica and the rest of the crew." She said. "Yes, Lucy I am fine. I just feel like they are up to no good." I said. "I feel the same way C.J but, I think that's exactly why we need to go to the party and prove them wrong. No matter how hard they try they can't break us apart. I love you C.J I am in love with you, The moment I saw you I could tell you were special." She said with the brightest smile on her face. " I love you too Lucy and I feel the same way." I said returning the smile. " I just have one question for you C.J." She said. "What's that Lucy?!" I asked with a smirk on my face."Why haven't you asked me to be your girlfriend yet?!" She asked with a puzzled look on her face. " Lucy, There's nothing that I want more then for you to be my girlfriend. But, right now isn't the right time. Hold your horses that time will come." I said raising her chin and giving her a soft kiss on the lips." Okay C.J I'll wait forever if I have to. Plus, there's always tonight." She said with a small smile. Then the bell rang time for third period I walked her to class and gave her a kiss. " See you next period. Just remember I will always love you." I said releasing her hand and watching her walk into class. That was the class she had with Frankie but I know how Lucy feels about me and right now I have nothing to worry about.
