"Say it." I gazed up at him. Those eyes were like dark mirrors, reflecting everything, yet revealing nothing. I desperately wanted to know what he was feeling. Sensing this, a smile played on his lips. "What are you talking about?" he asked, holding back a smirk. "What you're thinking." He brushed a lock of my hair away, a thoughtful look on his face. Seconds that seemed like hours ticked by. I held my breath, anticipating the answer. Anything to know something about him. The inner workings of his mind. "I'm thinking... that you look very beautiful in that dress." he murmured. I could feel the vibration of his voice at my ear. He was so close. Not close enough for me, though. "Alex, I'm serious." I said, hissing slightly. "So am I, Carmen." He traced a finger along my cheek, not at all fazed by my fangs. Not like he should have been, considering he was a monster, just like I was. Alex and I were what society considered "myths". But we were very real. The things that inhabit your nightmares, that supposedly went away when you woke up? They walk around like everyday citizens. Nightmares talk to people all the time, and humans are completely unaware of it. It was pathetic, really, how they couldn't see us for what we really were. "What time is it?" I took the pocket watch from Alex's coat, flipping open the gold cover. It was almost midnight. Almost time for the nightmare to start. Alex pulled me to him, his voice sending a chill down my spine. "We have time." he purred, a mischievous grin spreading across his lips. "For what, exactly?" I retorted, smirking. He only laughed, a musical sound ringing throughout the forest, before softly pressing his lips to mine. ~ This is completely original, and MY idea! Don't steal or I will KEEEEL you! *ahem, anyways... It's not a romance story, it's more like a horror/romance/drama thing. I really dunno if I'll continue it here or not. But yeah, what do you think? kthxbye, ~SensualPie
