We are a creature that is misunderstood. Ways of being; Thread-making Sure, we make useless threads like "hi." or "bored" or this one...*cough* Anyways, we just want your attention! We don't mean to spam...*cough* yes we do *cough*. We don't know we're trolling on topics we don't understand...we think we do because we are naïve enough to believe we own the world on the Internet. We don't mean it, honest. *cough* Yes we do. She's lying. *cough* trolling us back is obviously what we want, because the attention inadvertently will become ours. Ignore us, we'll be more annoying. Treat us with understanding, we will not understand, because we simply cannot grasp anything above our level of intelligence and spelling abilities. Ways of being; Grammar and vocabularies We are an unmanageable sort of creature. We have small vocabularies and poor grammar, because we are very used to texting, and we are too lazy to try to write in such a way that is decipherable. Our vocabularies are a result of bad schooling and plain stupidity that we revert back to when confronted. We are often told to spell better, and as a response we revert to bypassing saying things like "man **** off!" we will often deny it entirely and try to shift attention from our weak spot. We will rarely try to actually improve our spelling skills at all. Ways of being; Honesty Lying is an essential part of being a n00b. If people think I have a dying grandfather, maybe I'll get pity. Maybe if I say I have cancer and it's growing fast I'll get sympathy, support, and love. We do not care about people who in reality do have a dying family member or a heinous, dire disease that keep quiet about it, our small cranial capacity can simply not fathom this. Perhaps we believe if everyone pities them, they won't see the obvious gaps in information, lack of intelligence, common sense, and decency. "Obviously," our minds tell us, "If we lie to make ourselves interesting, we will be well liked." Of course, there might actually be a grain of truth, but mostly we seek attention. Ways of being; Relationships Us n00bs often seek a girlfriend or a boyfriend because they are too lonely in real life. We make threads asking how to get boyfriends/girlfriends as an attempt to seek aid. We are often trolled relentlessly, called names and, desperate, we panic, now knowing that we have committed an error, and say that we do have a real life partner, to seem less sad and lonely. We then make threads claiming we need help choosing a partner. A more experienced player will maybe make a wedding war, to have fun and such, but the n00b will take this literally. Us n00bs, recently, have calmed down on the regular forums, and seek role-play (RP) On world chat and often in the Fan-Fiction section of the forums. (If you look you will see what I mean.) Ways of being; Assumptions. Being new, we assume we are at the top; believing that all people are as manipulable as we are. We often assume we own the world, and that we will really be able to become a moderator or own a club because we think it seems easy. We easily mistake average things for something odd of off topic. Moderator? I've posted several times in Campus Chat, and I have 8kcs, I have lvl 3 on everything and several friends, of course I'd be an excellent moderator; all I need is to know how to contact the people in charge;(I.e the Developers). Club Owner; Awesome! I can be in charge of several people and give them power over others! I will ignore the fact that there are already too many clubs and that I don't have nearly enough to make one; I'll have a friend make it for me! I'll ask on the forums if they can't. We will go on threads and annoy the crap out of people; what is trolling? I don't know, but I certainly don't fail! I'll continue to be a butt-head to these people whom are on topic. Ways of being; Quitting. After our n00b patients wears thin, we decide we've had enough, after a few days; we quit. The n00b life cycle can take three routes: A)Acceptance; we say "Okay, I'm a n00b, I'll listen to the Vets and hope to be better." B)Denial; we will continue to troll and be a n00b until we get permanently silenced, and we annoy the crap out of the forums, then quit dramatically, to come back again periodically. C)Quitting(my favorite); we dramatize this. We decide "I hate this game, my stats suck, no club wants me, my friend's have all left, I will too." We will not be missed, but we still make threads saying goodbye. Then, we ask why we cannot reset. We are told; we try to quit. We might succeed, we might fail; but eventually we disappear. Afterwords. I had a brainfart and I did this. No one will read it; I typed too much Dx. Anyways; read my sucky guide. Iwasbored™
