  20. At the start of the new millennium, the people creating the calendar started with year one instead of year 0 because it would be really odd if we said "Today is December 31, 0....."

    So, this next year should technically be 2011 if the Mayans started their calendar with year 0. So the world won't end for another 2 years. Sorry guys ):
