Guide to Silencing V1.0 Welcome to MooCow's guide to silencing V1.0. Today this guide will inform you on all there is to know on silencing! Table of Contents: What is Silencing? Who silenced me? How can I get silenced? How can I get un-silenced? Help! I got banned! What can I do while I'm silenced? How do I know I'm silenced? What is Silencing? Silencing is when you are unable to communicate to players of PimD for 24 hours. Silencing only happens when you break the ToU. (Terms of Use) But on rare occasions a Mod or Dev may accidentally silence you. On your third silence it becomes permanent, meaning you won't be able to communicate to other players on PimD for ever! Who Silenced me? No matter who tells you anything, the only people that could possibly silence you are the following people: Cookie0024 -Zeuss- NeonWolf DarkRose1908 Mindy Spiny OliviaAnna [color=green Kaitoh [/b][/color] They are the the current moderators of PimD. You will notice that they're the moderators because they have names. The other two people that could possibly silence you is the devs, they are: PimD PimD_Admin These are the only possible players on PimD that could silence you. How can I get Silenced? You can get silenced by breaking the ToU. Ways you can break the ToU are by: ByPassing the filter Personal Information Spamming Threats to players I'll give you examples of those ToU breaks: ByPassing the Filter ByPassing the filter is modifying a bad word so it isn't stared our by the filter: User 1: Hey User 2: kcuf you! Mod: *Silence User 2 for ByPass* Personal Information: Giving out Personal information will get you silenced: User 1: Hey! User 2: Hi, call me at 123-456-7890 User 1: Ok, meet me at 123 PIMD Street! Mod: *Silence both users for personal information* Spamming: Spamming is sending a message or it's variation 3 or more times in one minute. User 1: PimD is the best ATA game! User 2: No User 2: Nar User 2: Nope User 2: Nawh Mod: *Silence for spamming* Threat to players: Threatening a players personal life is against the ToU, it will get you silenced and may even get you banned. User 1: Hey you mad bro? User 2: OMG WHAT DO TOY MEAN IM MAD! User 2: I WILL COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND KILL YOU! Mod: *Silence User 2 for threats* So they are the thing that will get you silenced or even banned. How can I get un-silenced? If a mod silences you, don't chuck a spazz, mods can't un silence people. If you really think the you were silenced un-fairly, then you can email the devs at support@athinkingape.com You should set the email out like this: To: support@athinkingape.com Subject: UnSilencing Me. Dear ATA, I play the game Party in my Dorm. My user name is Insert User Name and I am emailing you about why I should be un-silenced. The reason(s) why I think I should be un-silenced are: Insert Reasons Here Thankyou for taking your time to read this, I hope to here from you soon. By telling the truth and giving good reasons why you should be un-silenced, the devs may just un-silence you. Help! I got Banned! Oh no! You got banned? Well do not fear! I can help you If you are banned or permanent silenced, then you will have to email the the developers asking to be un-banned. Your best chance is to wait a week before you email the developers. You can set the email out like this: To: support@athinkingape.com Subject: Un-Banning Me. Dear ATA, I play the game Party in my Dorm. My user name is Insert User Name and I am emailing you about why I should be Un-Banned. The reason(s) why I think I should be Un-Banned are: Insert Reasons Here If you are banned or permanent silenced. The devs will not always un-silence you if you've done something really bad. What can I do while I'm Silenced? While you are silenced you can still do some things on PimD, but not all things. I will tell you those things you can and can't do: What we can do: While you are silenced you can still do somethings on PimD Send gifts to others Post on forums Do jobs Battle players Upgrade stats Set status messages What we can't do: While you are silenced there are things you can't do, or silencing wouldn't be significant otherwise. You can't PM players You can't wall players You can't talk in Club Chat, Campus Chat and Tutor Chat. How do I Know I'm Silenced? It would be extremely unusual if you didn't know you were silenced. There are many ways you can find out your silenced: The Campus Update: When you are silenced an update comes up on campus, it looks like this: Of course it will say your username instead of PimD [*] The Deans Message: When you are silenced, the Dean sends you a message, it will come up in your notifications. [*] The Wall Post: When you're silenced, the mod who silenced you is most likely to post on your wall why you were silenced and how long you are silenced for. End of Guide! The only ways to communicate when silenced are in forums and using the club announcement, if you are an owner or admin of a club.
