    It's simple.

    You just

    Act like you would if the person were sitting right in front of you.

    I bet you'd be nicer if they were sitting in front of you.

    Makes sense, right?

    You could also stop picking fights with people who clearly didn't mean any harm.

    Or have an open mind.

    Or stop being a pretentious meanie.

    Or think before you act.

    Or grow a pair of oranges. 

    Feel free to productively and politely add to the forum.
