0.0 Sorry it's short ••• I woke up in the middle of the night. Well, it felt like night. Gayle was doing something in the corner of her cage, and everyone else was sleeping. Where was K? I looked at his now empty cage and felt my heart drop. Did that guy kill K? "he'll be gone until morning. He always is." Gayle stared at me with big eyes. "I don't know why he called me crazy, earlier. I'm perfectly sane." she smiled sweetly. "it's everyone else who's insane. Build it up with iron bars, iron bars, iron bars. Build it up with iron bars, my dear lady." her voice was loud and clear. "Iron bars will bend and break, bend and break, bend and break. Iron bars will bend and break, my dear lady." she twisted her hand out of her shackle and reached into my cage. She then started to pet my hair while she hummed, and I fell asleep again. When I woke up, there were a few more people in the 'dungeon', as I had dubbed it. K was back and he smiled at me. "who are the other people?" my voice was husky and my throat was dry. "I don't know the older guy's name, or the other girls. They're usually upstairs, cleaning for him." his voice was harsh when he said they were upstairs most of the time. I nodded and stares at sleeping Gayle, who had a new cut on her head. "when he put us back in our cages last night, she wouldn't stop singing. He hit her so hard. But she deserved it." K whispered. "do you think he's doing good?" I was outraged. Even though I've been here for maybe three days, and I've only been beaten once, I hated him with every fiber of my being. "he's only doing what's needed." K whispered, and I suddenly realized why K felt that way. He had Stockholm Syndrome.
