Hailey you honestly have no idea what this means to me! THANK YOU. You did very good with your English. I also completely agree there should be a balance between normal avis and inclusive ones. Thank you from the bottom of my heart it truly means alot to me. -🪻🧚🏻♀️
Absolutely love your post Lav 🥰 Honestly I’ve felt that way about getting a bit more First Nations avis but know they’re hesitant about getting it wrong but like, there’s a ton of First Nations people near their offices so I felt like they could collaborate with the people in that sense to add more diversity in that sense. It’s more that I’d love to have more options other than the two Avis from that one hunt ages ago. 😅
Beautifully put, I would like to show my support for a wider variety of equally well stat'd avas . Ofc its nice that ata has included some as I know this is something that has been broughten up before, it does seem wild to me to pay 500 ecs for a ava with 60/60 stats . It would definitely be nice to see avas for sale in store with ata maybe donating part of the purchase price to some charities as well . This might make it seem less as day said tone deaf etc but also introduce more inclusive avas ♡.
Idk if you would like more references of avis, but iirc, there's a male scuba diver avi with a prosthetic limb
Yes, I came across and had to read the comments and seeing the comment feeling it wasn’t feeling correctly representing and debates. I decided not to put it and create a bigger issue, I can always link it if someone wish to have it.
I think because my friends and I recently had a "disability tax" conversation that this has me so twisted out of shape even more than it should, but honestly... the only hearing aid avi to drop.... ever (I could be mistaken but fairly confident)? and it is behind a gamble paywall. Really nice... I have wheelchair avis (all female. Btw) and prosthetic avis. I have avis with hijabs and dastars, vitiligo, avis all across the LGBTQ+ spectrum, even two or three intersex avis-- but not a single hearing aid or ASL avi. Seeing the rep for many communities while (other than female wheelchair users, *one 500EC male wheelchair avi* and prosthetics) the disabled community is given barely a scrap, despite how many of us there are. We exist just as the other communities exist. If ATA can find a way to show a character is intersex or trans and give us a 5EC option and possible free from an event/box/etc for them once a year for Pride, then they sure af can do that for the disability community. July is Disability Awareness Month. I don't think it is much to ask for some respectful representation during our awareness month that is also accessible to even ftp players to participate. B2B Pride then Disability Awareness Months would be really cool, honestly, on top of having the 4oJ promo. While I am on the tangent-- First Nations hunt/event/month when?? Last one was sooooo long ago, and didn't some First Nation's artists help with that hunt and/or donations go out? I remember some cool things went down with it. *We should do that again*. Has ATA gotten "better" at their inclusive avis, yeah. Doesn’t change it is still pretty lackluster.
I've only been using ASL lately. Whoops-- BSL, ISL, International Sign (still in infancy, but developing)... any sign would be amazing to see. There are slang and gestures generally understood that would be easy to translate to an avi.
To respond to the First Nation section . For Canada , National Indigenous History Month every June on June 21 so this year it fall on Father’s Day for the First Nations. I believe other countries used other terminology and other months like Australia most likely first of July and United States have something in November . And another countries in August or September ***More researches on other countries could be done on a personal level.
