I am extremely disappointed that I've been told I need to change my username after fighting so hard to obtain it from an inactive account. I've been a loyal player for seven years, and it feels unfair that after finally getting the name I wanted, I'm now being asked to give it up. My username is simply my real name spelled backwards. There was never any inappropriate intent behind it. The concern seems to be centered around the word "moan," but that interpretation ignores the fact that words can have multiple meanings depending on context. The dictionary definition of "moan" is "a long, low sound expressing physical or emotional pain, discomfort, grief, or pleasure," or "to complain or express dissatisfaction." It is not an inherently sexual word. Interpreting it only in a sexual way says more about the interpretation than the word itself. For comparison, many everyday words have multiple meanings. Take the word "balls," it can refer to sports equipment, a formal dance, or be used as slang. We don't automatically assume the most inappropriate meaning every time the word appears. Context matters. I've spent seven years supporting this game, and it is frustrating that a username based on my own name is suddenly considered unacceptable after all the effort it took to obtain it. I respectfully ask that this decision be reconsidered and that my username be allowed to remain unchanged. - iMoan I'll more than likely leave feedback about the channels once I'm done being silenced and butthurt. šŖš¶š¾āāļø
Sorry if it was mentioned earlier, but I noticed that I seem to have a weird bug with Campus chat specifically, where I see different messages on the bottom on the preview of the chat, and upon clicking on Campus these messages are not there, but there are a bunch of non-english messages. It almost seems like I've been dropped off to a wrong Campus region, but the small preview bar still displays some other region as well.
Second time im being forced to change my name because of ATA shenanigans. How about we do something productive that actually helps the community. Nothing was wrong with pub chat you even had to verify typing in your age to utilize the chat. If your concern is "Well people lie about their age" Okay? You did your part you put in place a system which required users to verify their age and gave a warning of the explicit content they might see. People will continue to lie even in private chats. I understand though this is more about taking the heat off of ATA if something were to happen legally. I'm tired of playing a Game that is meant and focused for adults and then being treated like a child by it's development team. It's amazing we can program ways to annoy the community but meanwhile we still have to pray to the RNG God's that we get Avatars that correspond to the gender we want from these hunts that require time and effort to complete only to get the avatar we don't want.
š yeah I donāt think that particular issue is always a quick fix. Give em a little grace. On the other hand Another round of boos for the hypocritical individual censorship Ata is upholding and defending. The game is no better or more safe due to igns being changed. They profit massively from certain styles of avatars, so they would never even entertain giving that up. Iām all for getting the creeps under control but this isnāt it :/ šš¼šØš šš¼šØš šš¼šØš
Honestly, Valid! What's next? Are they going to Start deleting or redesigning all of the sexually suggestive avatars that they've created over the years? Like fam, There's litterally a half ahh naked guy avatar holding it's crotch and plenty of others that I would consider needing a change before we start talking about named with innuendos. ATA has always been slowly encroaching on the player's freedom of expression by "Updating their TOS" First it was emojis, Nows it's usernames, What's next are we gonna double back on stuff bypassing the filter in roundabout ways next??
By all means if that's what the game is going towards I'd like to suggest a game rename to "Party in my Bible School" š
I received a warning about my username. Can @[ata]Marceline I received a warning regarding my username. I'm assuming one of the mods found my username in violation of ToU, but I fail to understand what's wrong as my username seems pretty innocent to me. @[ATA] Marceline or someone can kindly confirm.
I donāt see an actual announcement for this particular change but Iām assuming itās tied to all of thisā¦nonsenseābut if thereās a separate place I should mention it please let me know. These new wall restrictions are a decent idea but an absolute NIGHTMARE for club admins. Is there any way to add an option for club admins to be able to post on walls even with restrictions on? I donāt blame people wanting walls restricted but I also donāt want me or my admins dealing with people complaining about missing their drops because we couldnāt wall them about it in the first place, communicate about gold passes, or when itās time to renew.
That should be the player responsibility. Not yours or any admin. It shouldnāt be your fault if theyāve made their own decisions. Same when they want to turn (if it becomes a feature) club chat off . It does suck that people complain to you or any admins about their own decision as by default, the wall is open to everyone. (Aside if the player is silence or blocked) So they have manually chosen otherwise. Maybe give a warning to all members. I do suggest you take the stance that those complains arenāt acceptable to avoid getting advantage of. Same when people know in ec club that if they miss parties or donāt follow some rules. The club admins arenāt responsible for it and it can lead to consequences.
Looks like there is something funky going on with Student Union at the moment, the club updates are not appearing, and I'm unable to tap the announcement to view speakers. Hope this means some fixes are afoot šš
I do see a (/null) message appear in the chat box at the bottom of the screen with the club updates though! š
If youāre talking about the purple announcement ones that are like āX CLUB started a partyā, that was an intentional adjustment šāāļø
You could send gift messages in the meantime or require people to have at least one admin added. It would be nice for an option to be added in the future though to allow club admins to post on wall, even if not friends/following.
Hello, please send a help ticket for appeals or clarification on warnings/silences. Devs wouldn't respond in a public format regarding that.
That would assume players check their gift every second and itās not buried with no timestamp of when it was sent
Thank you. Although it was just a warning, I think I'll not raise a ticket at this stage. Grateful to you @Oasis for advice.
