Hi everyone, I’m writing this because Party in My Dorm is supposed to be an inclusive space where we can all express ourselves, but right now, our avatar options don’t reflect that for players with disabilities. For those of us who use wheelchairs, wear knee, arm braces or any body brace, use prosthetics, wear hearing aids, or use tools like diabetes pumps, heart monitors, crutches, and canes—we are almost completely invisible in the game. To my knowledge, there is only one male wheelchair avatar (which costs 500 ECs for a very low 60/60 stat) and only about four female wheelchair avatars total. Everyone deserves to see themselves represented in the characters they play. Having to choose between a low-stat avatar or hiding a huge part of who you are doesn't feel like true inclusivity. I would love to see PIMD introduce a wider variety of accessible avatars, perhaps in an upcoming hunt or as standard store options, with competitive stats so players don't have to sacrifice gameplay for representation. While this representation is incredibly important, these avatars should be defined by more than just the disability they represent. Having a disability is just one part of who someone is and how they navigate life each and every day. If this doesn't apply to you, that’s totally fine, but please keep the comment section respectful and constructive. To those who agree, I’d love your support in bringing this to the devs' attention.🩵 Even if this doesn’t directly apply to you, please consider leaving a comment to support us! It helps ATA see how much the community cares.💜 Thank you, 🪻🧚🏻♀️
There's always room for more inclusivity, but I will say, compared to other games I play, ATA does fairly well. This is the recent release from the Molly's Social Box, it has an avi like what you're searching for. The store has a person with a replaced limb, and another is in a wheelchair as well, who are available for anyone to purchase. A few years back, I know there was a person with dwarfism included too, and there have been others with different disabilities too. There's been more, but I'm not too avatar savvy, honestly. I think there is a fine line, though, since some of the hunts have themes that, in combination with a disability, may be a bit tone deaf or insensitive. As a whole, yes, more would be awesome! I think providing some examples of avis would be a good start here too.
Yes! I saw him thats part of what inspired this post. I wear a knee brace and would love to see an avi that looks like me. I also agree that some seem to be tone deaf or lacking in design compared to other avis. Thank you Day🩵 -🪻🧚🏻♀️
I'm all for inclusivity... As long as it's not aggressively pushed upon me (like some very overeager gen-whatever "woke" individual on a power trip) I do feel like ata has come a long way over the years in trying to find a balance of including people from all walks of life and representing them in different ways. But you're right, they do need to broaden their scope a bit more. Hopefully now that they are cracking down on the community being so frisky all the time, they'll stop playing into that hyper-sexualised nature of certain fetishes/kinks and focus on more realistic and relatable content. Yes I get that it's an rpg and the point is that you can be whoever you want, but there are people on here that don't want to pretend to be someone else, they just want to be themselves and feel seen and heard while doing so. And just on a personal note, as an Australian I also feel like ata doesn't acknowledge our national day nearly often enough. #BringSkippyToPimd

Low stats avatar would be under 60% strength and 60% Intel? I just wish those would not be behind a paywall. and I’m hesitant to say if an avatar representing this would be best as third side story instead of leaderboard in a hunt . As in a hunt, it is considered less “accessible “ to obtain such avatar that is on the leaderboard of the hunt.
Yes but the avi is 500 ecs and not comparable to most of the newer higher stats. While avis now have 85 some even 100 or more 60 isnt as good. Leading most players even those who are disabled to choose the higher stats then the inclusive ones. -🪻🧚🏻♀️
Are you referring to this announcement? I had to cut a lot from the original post to point out what I am referring to**
