Thank you for this update. I’m embarrassed to admit I play this game even in other ATA games because of the horrible reputation that pub has helped build. And seeing the obvious “older man looking” posts on the scroll at the bottom of my screen made me start to feel they might be right. For the people saying ATA will lose so many players, I really don’t think the 14cs people were adding much. Now if they can just get rid of the thousands of Emma’s that follow me every time I start a party …..
The only problem I have with this is the trading part. In pub, everyone was able to see the advertisements, anyone could have decided to buy something even if they weren't specifically looking for it. Right now, most people just unfollow the channel and won't see it which makes it harder to sell anything because there aren't many people in the category.
This is stupid. If I'm in student union chat, I'm looking for club and other game-related stuff. RP is not directly related to the gameplay. It should be in campus, I think. It's getting harder and harder to open this game when I see shit about rp in the chat I'm just trying to find lbh in. And then the fact that campus is now overrun with stupid conversations and I can't unfollow it.
Spinner prize announcements are also in there. I liked those being on campus I always try to wall people when I see them 😔
When mods are active and online the separation for the chats, while frustrating for all reasons listed already, were at least sort of adhered to. When mods arent online every channel seems to become a catch all for the rp people this is worse than having them at least mostly contained to pub.
So... now all the chat channels cost speakers outside of club chat... and they took away pub chat... which was free. Can we not pretend that this just isn't a move to get users to buy speakers...
I'd also love for clubs to have a report feature similar to people's profiles, where you can report it for having an inappropriate name, club wall, or member tags. This would help community members better assist mods with enforcing these new rules. There are tons of explicit RP clubs that will need to be flagged.
As much as I love the thought, I also kind dislike it cause now it's way more difficult to get recognised for trading like selling and buying. If i gotta buy or sell something, I have to spam it since max people have most chats off as there are many glitches during flashes and stuff and no extra speakers with these many chat options :/ trading was such a fun part but now it feels like a hassle and promoting banners are even more tough (im sorry but it's giving me a hard time) pub and campus used to be and easy to coperate with
I believe I made a ticket for a username change. The bot kept redirecting me to buy ecs to change username
I agree having a lot of channels is an issue plus we need to keep the teens out of the pub where most of them end up.
Campus should be where RP requests go and trade/banners should be promoted to use Exchange/SU, but allowed in Campus, too. If you aren't going to let us mute Campus, it better be for more than nonsense chatting. Campus should be a catch all chat, tbh. I'm, honestly, not a fan of swiping between chats while casually idling. Campus was always a bit chaotic before, but that was the beauty of it and mimicked a campus in reality. Idgaf that pub is gone, it was always muted for me--but if Campus is going to be the Pub Lite/Pub 2.0, then let us mute or give it more value that makes its presence meaningful instead of annoying and holding no value.
Instead of selecting any of the options, you should be able to "skip" and then will be prompted to just type in your request. Continue to hit skip for any suggestions and select that you need to talk to a person.
I was going to post something like this, but instead I’ll just add one thing to it. I love that club chat is first when I open chat. Apart from campus, club chat is what I use most. …okay maybe two things. I’ve thought of adding a stat requirement for people to follow you, idk if that would be hard to implement. So far I haven’t noticed any bots following me when I start a party that are 1mcs or higher.
