I will say it makes retrieving forum thread links easier (I did have to open a browser to do that) but imo it isn't worth the other downsides so far. Le sigh.
Well, it has arrived. Forums opens in browser. Ugh. ๐ฎโ๐จ Clicking on users names does do some interesting new things now. But I preferred when it linked directly to a profile.
Their response when I sent in a ticket to raise my concerns, going so far to request a human review of it before they closed the ticket: "Thank you for reporting this! We are aware of the issue and are currently tracking its impact so we can investigate further and address it with our team. Sometimes solutions to these issues take longer than you'd expect, so it may be a little while before we can resolve this one. Thank you for letting us know as it helps us to prioritize issues better in future. Please let us know if you need help with anything else. Have a good day!"
Itโs been like that for probably a year or more on iPhone, Android is always last to the party ๐ฎโ๐จ๐ PIMD was available first only to IPhone
Mine updated today also, so far it's just annoying af, why take something that works and is easy to make it take more steps and be more complicated?
This happened to me too and the annoying thing is that when I'm in the potd thread to check the quicklink for the people testing parties, it doesn't redirect to pimd, it only comes up their Forum profile which is super annoying as you will have to manually go and type their username in to check if the party dropped. I really hope they will fix this.
Sent feedback and my reply was the one I usually get. Telling me to share my idea in other areas like forums since their dev team regularly checks here. But.....I'm not 100% sure but I think this update also fixed our issue where android users couldn't see their placement outside of top 500. I have an alt on an android device that is outside of the top 500 for Rate My Room and it shows my ranking that's like 596 or something like that.
I was thinking of a potential mitigation of the profiles/QLs not working, particularly for the POTD testing thread. A few people have mentioned a similar potential feature before, but perhaps in the wake of this update (which ATA states is an Android-related update and not something they have control over according to a help ticket @GoddessHailey received) we can advocate for a club bookmarking feature? You could "star" certain clubs and then have a quick access feature via the Clubs section. This would allow players to only have to search a certain club name once and then they can "star" it to have quick future access. Many of the same clubs participate in POTD testing and therefore people that like to stay up-to-date on that could bookmark those select clubs. It would also be useful for people that have favorite clubs to attend sessions/flashes/etc, as well as club hoppers that have some favorite clubs to cycle through. What does everyone think of this? I will also be posting this idea in the suggestions section of the PIMD Discord for visibility.
What happens to if it disband or change club name ? Will the change โnotifyโ those who star it. Over the 6 years, clubs have soon tragic ending or change name because the other name became available and some have - or โ or 0 or o or an extra letter of difference to try to differentiate the club from one to another ? ๐ค Would this include starter club (for the new players) ? Well, Gold Pass is one way to โstarโ the clubs ๐ so we need to find a way to differentiate from it ๐ especially if some clubs rent gold pass like bread and butter. So it doesnโt bug or glitch like an invite that disappears on someone screen.
I would assume disbanding could work similar to a club you had joined that has disbanned, where you get a notification. Not sure how name changes are handled within clubs.
