My thoughts on this "mini event" is that it was too short for what the possibilities of it were and the rng of becoming vampire/getting tokens ruins most of the fun when you're just left with "welp, just gotta hope it works out" and in my case it didn't work out, I personally had little to no fun with it as I was basically told by the game to be a doctor and get nothing.. Hurray.
Hey Goose, I do hear ya, and we tried to make adjustments with that in mind, so I'm sorry to hear it's feeling too far! I know there was some confusion over the hunter change, (I've edited the post now) so I just want confirm the only thing that changed is they get a hint every completed party, but they still get a list of 5 possible targets. The reason for this change was that we're seeing really low hunter accuracy. Like only 20% of shots taken were hitting true 💀
Question: if we and our club member never switch club. It must be difficult to become something else than vampire / infected? 🤔🤔 I know a lot of players stick to one club and rarely hop out of it. This can be a disadvantage in this event with the current mechanics, is that correct ?
This is definitely where we'd like to make some changes next time! To add some context, the cooldown served two purposes: - Helping control the total amount of Hunters/Doctors - Act as a cap for how many bonus points you can earn as a hunter because they're so huge The tokens were a bit of a rarer drop for a few reasons, but one of them is that we're trying to avoid very low activity accounts to be able to burn through the XC tiers with very little effort That's not to say we can't try some other ways to solve those problems next time though! I think what's been the most fun for folks is to change through roles more frequently and try out different abilities. So that's something I'd like to lean into more next time - making it easier to change roles (maybe some new roles too)
Thank you for the detailed feedback, Victoria! I agree it was too hard to become (and stay) a Vampire. We played around with potentially increasing the infection rate yesterday, but the problem with the infection rate is that it grows exponentially, so even a small increase would have led to essentially everyone getting infected, haha. We'll likely adjust this next time, so it's easier to change states if you want to, while keeping some control over overall spread I also agree on having more targeted ways to bite and heal and I'd like to explore that direction more. We did actually originally consider this for infections, but one thing we were worried about was Vampires selling infections and holding a lot of power that way. What are your thoughts on that? (and anyone else please feel free to chime in!) I'll also be upfront though that it wouldn't be true PVP hits, but the same as with the hunter kills and haunts.
I'd love to extend it but I don't think it's fair to the players who've been duking it out on the leaderboard! We'll definitely keep a longer duration in mind next time though We try to keep trial events on the shorter side in case they don't go as well, we don't want to drag them on for 2 weeks haha
If you never had any outsiders join, and none of you were a vampire when you opted in then yes no one would become a vampire! It's not a disadvantage per se, as human you can earn Drops of Blood unbothered, and can choose to become a Hunter for bonus points. As a vampire you earn slightly more points but you're at risk of getting killed and having 6h of no drops

Started off very confused with this event, then was like ohh this could be fun only to end with frustration and what feels like wasted potential. Despite being in the top 1500 the entire event and having over 35k blood drops, I never once got a hunters token on this account. Thankfully I had alts that were able to experiment and try out hunting only to be left rather frustrated there as well. Alts were hunters 4 times and went to the near end of each 6 hour hunting time frame waiting for a list. They only ever got a hint list once. Even after the update saying there was a 100% chance the alt still didn't get a list which makes me think maybe there just weren't any vampires in my club? Don't know. The 30 hour cool down also sucked majorly. What was already a very limited option became even more limited. I think something that could've been helpful would have been a way to see the amount of vampires in the club. Just a number, no names or identities given up. Just so we would've known what we were working with. I started the event as a human and stayed a human never once getting infected even. I don't know if it was crap luck or just poorly balanced behind the scenes stuff. The badges as rewards were a nice touch, but....never being infected to become a vampire or receiving a hunters token I didn't even get a chance at them on this account, which again sucked. I did like the rewards we got for each tier though and that leaderboard included more players than usual leaderboards do. Also liked the different roles and the secret identity to add a bit of thinking/strategy to try and figure out who could be what role. Also really liked the hopping phantom stat drop while being a ghost. It gave something to try for while in timeout of blood drops. Would have loved for this event to be extended or even ran a second time and the balancing of it tweaked a bit more, but I'm hoping we do see a different iteration of it in the future that is new and improved. I can't even speak on the vampire part/infecting people because I never got to experience that on any accounts I was super actively playing during the event hoping to try everything out. Even hopped clubs hoping to get infected to turn into a vampire and then get back to my club to try infecting more because I kept feeling like maybe we just didn't have many or any vampires at all. Not entirely sure of numbers, but out of people I've talked to in my club only one was a for sure vampire. I've asked my members for their feedback to get a better grasp of vampires and infected but it seems like it was very low chances and we had several people hopping in and out for a large part of the event as well. It just leaves me feeling like there was huge potential but the mark was missed. I get the limiting of tokens and the cool downs to prevent less active accounts from breezing through for rewards, but it also really hindered how much I, as a fairly active player, could participate and try things out.

I wanted to be vamp atleast once in the event for the award but first time I got infected is when less 6 remaining for the event so realistically not possible to be a vamp anymore 🥲 just providing data in case it helps for next event. But my doc, ghost and hunter tokens and usage and drops were great tbh. Maybe because I flashed atleast once everyday of the event.
Adding one more tiny thing I forgot about, was also really happy to see the chance of trading in tokens for a cash boost. I managed two doctor tokens and having a feeling we didn't have many/any vampires left I didn't want to use them. Trading them for a cash boost was a nice option.
For how long did you want to extend the event? Like 48 hours ? Out of curiosity as you aren’t the first one saying this.
I think the event was done well but it’d be nice to offer a bit more. Perhaps allow Vamps to choose their targets, definitely extend it a bit longer, offer avatars (just because I saw a lot of people saying they would have liked avatars for this event), just make it a little more interactive? The event was a blast and I really wish it could last longer but I look forward to seeing how this event expands and grows. Thank you ATA for all you do. I always find myself coming back to this game and have been playing for years, even before this account.
Yeahhh, I got there too late, the 100% precision comment is what threw me off. Overall, I enjoyed this event, and would love to see more of similar mechanics used in future ❤️
