I can see how it read genuine. But I honestly don’t think it was because she was in the campus making jokes about and only apologized hours later. I can hope they’re genuine but really they’re just empty words for now until change is actually made.

This is one of the most anti-consumer, greedy, deplorable cash grabs i have ever witnessed. Holy i wish someone would sue over mobile games horrid monetary practices.

 

holy cash grab. not only do you have to collect 7 different avis, but once you do, you have to complete parties for a chance of furniture dropping and you can only have 2 boxes at a time and i'm assuming there would be duplicates so basically you have to keep hitting a bunch of parties until you get every piece of furniture? literally who has time for that and do you think we're rich? people overprice shard avis every time they come out, i could see it if we were only required to have one avi but all 7? no thanks.

 

I think it's crazy how I was attacked for calling ata and the simps loving on all their horrific summer events creating this shard event with their simping just to complain y'all should try authenticity

 

Why couldn't y'all just make a story specifically for the avis and furni?... fun fact WE DONT WANT TO PAY FOR AVIS AND JUST SO WE CAN GET FURNI.... wtf is hard to understand about that????

I think there was enough heat from everyone to tell her she needs to fix it. It’s not really fixing it tho, is it? It’s making changes that should have already been done, apologizing to stop further backlash whilst not really meaning it. I mean, this took 7 hours for them to fix it. I just still so turned off by this situation. I don’t talk to people at my work like that.

 

Respectfully, this isn’t the way to go and hasn’t been for a while. Normally shard events let us choose what we’re aiming for, but this one’s actually insane (update or not) and the way it’s set up just makes it even pricier. It feels like there’s been paid content one after another lately with no real break and no chance for players to recover, just constant monetized releases.

In this economy, most of us can’t keep dropping money over and over just to keep up. Let’s be real, $20 (USD) is never enough for shards. You always end up buying more ECs, and that’s not even counting what we spend in other parts of the game.

I love collecting avatars, but when it stops being fun and starts feeling like a grindy cash grab, it’s hard to stay excited. Some balance between free or earnable content and paid content would go a long way. I miss when shards dropped only a few times a year. This isn’t it ATA, and it only pushes players away from the game. New players won’t stay, and veteran players are leaving. Marketing in college taught me what not to do, and this is it. 😔

I got a $1700 bonus from work. Was gonna spend some of it at bbbs in October. Not happening now, even with the "update." Y'all just so scared of losing milkable players.

Do you think they hired a new Marcie? She was always my favorite. Approachable, fairly reasonable and helpful. Ironically, I just said something similar in Single City. She isn’t those things anymore, under new ownership. So I’m guessing it was all a marketing act. New owners, new goals, new Marcie. I’ve played 14+ years but I think the end is near.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that 100% though she was mocking all of us in campus too. Her messages were giving HUGE mean girl energy. It’s like she wanted to egg it on.
