This was what me and a lot of others I know where hoping for, to switch out to themed dorms to match the time or year or to swap to a stronger dorm if needed. Pls I hope yall make this happen cause that would be a massive improvement
Oh… here I thought it was like a submission for RMR where you can DESIGN what you like and save it… that way you can have say 2 dorms with similar or the same couple pieces… 🫠
Congo on the updates! Pretty excited! I do have something to add though, the players that were anticipating that second dorm feature are the furni enthusiasts of the game (i.e. they dont care about stats) For most players, they care about flexibility in regards to changing the background dorm, while still maintaining the stats of their “strong dorm” (for example, I like to change my dorm often, love to collect furni, all that jazz, but in order to do that i have to unequip my strong stat dorm) There is nothing more permanent than a temporary solution imo. I think a good solution to your furni stat dilemma is to make one dorms stats count only, and increasing the upgrade levels from 20 to 30. The increments between the levels dont have to be in percentages only, there can be a solid add up on top of the existing percentage (if that makes sense, linear not exponential). This solves numerous problems 1) you wouldnt be stuck with perpetually increasing stats with every new dorm 2) the game’s mechanics wont break easier than kitkats 3) the stat players would be satisfied - new levels higher stats, and theyll need alot of furni to reach lvl 30 so it provides the ~enrichment~ 4) its easier to invest in one strong dorm, and make that one count towards total, rather than working with fractions, even from a players standpoint, its easier to make one dorm strong, and leave the other dorms for creative purposes rather than focusing on upgrading those as well (upgrading furni means youre stuck using it; doesnt allow you the freedom of changing furni - like what this feature is trying to do) 5) the furni players would be satisfied (see point #4 - its hard to change furni around to fit your mood when youre trying to max out all the available stats) So yeah, sorry if I sounded repetitive towards the end. If theres one problem with the possible solution i mentioned above, its that the speed runners of the game probably already upgraded some furni to lvl 10 just for dorm #2. They would be pissed if stats got limited to one dorm again. In all cases, furni stats have to be capped at some point.
No problem! They must have added them to the back end coding then and just 'revealed' it now, hence why they're a bit buried.
Hey so the ads for cash feature might be broken? I watched a full ad, but the app got stuck loading till the phones screen auto-locked, forcing the app to restart. Upon restart the cash wasnt added to the total, and idk if that ad I watched counted as apart of the 3 max or not
All W's. The attempt at making the game more balanced by disabling the furniture % for non-equipped dorm(s) is nice. Now if only we could get all the bots & auto-clickers off game.
Here's a suggestion for game balancing Why not have it that the 1st dorm has to be lvl20 on all furniture before the bonus from upgraded furni in the 2nd dorm will apply? The climb from lvl1 to lvl10 is incredibly easier than the climb from lvl10 to lvl20. Especially with the expectation to release more dorm options (3rd/4th/etc) it almost seems more sensible to invest the time and resources to just lvl10 each of them for a fat bonus instead of braving the climb all the way to lvl20 on the first one. Someone who's more familiar with the math on how dorms affect pvp would have to run the calculations, but leveling furni, and the bonus from doing so, is meant to be quite the climb is it not?

Looking at the comments, clearly they can’t please anyone. If dorms were purely for cosmetic reasons, they wouldn’t have taken so long to release. I like how the new update allow us to keep increasing the furni bonus. Great idea. Finally I can use some of my recycle parts again. Perhaps allow furnis level 11 and above to give capped bonus instead of no stats like right now. The number of furni tokens should be displayed at the top left. Lastly, I’m surprised and glad yall didn’t immediately sell the tokens for ECs or real life money when yall could. Kudos and looking forward to more great updates in 2025 🖤
Anyone else unable to place certain pieces in the new form? For me the rainy day plant will not show up in the second dorm
Truth be told, this wasn’t what I was expecting - but excited still. I wish everything wasn’t so stats oriented, like the need to climb the ranks to get stronger. The game is already incredibly unbalanced as is - we have over 800mcs, bucket ranges are probably still off, and black market advantages… I won’t be surprised when Dorm 2 becomes fully fleshed out, there will be a rise in suspicious trades of leveled furni Like how about just a dorm for cosmetic or decorating purposes for furni lovers and collectors. It’ll be helpful for them to showcase what they have or what they want to sell. sure…most people want the stats on Dorm 2, but if so, I think there should be a nerf or a cap that is not temporary, needs to be a set thing.
