Genuine question about testing: why don't more clubs start longer parties before changeover to coordinate finishing the party a few minutes after changeover? For example, when our club tests 4 hour pro, we start at least 3 hours before changeover so that we know if it will/will not drop within at least an hour of changeover. Hopefully that makes sense, I don't know if I explained my question well enough
If I can weigh in I think for some it could be because they will feel like they have wasted time they could have used getting more drops from more of the previous potd if it ends up being an easy party.

Club names was always to be type manually. 🚨 It is impossible to predict just by viewing a club members list, how many players will be online to test the party nearer changeover. 🚨 It remains extremely difficult to predict the pace of each club to complete a party within a correct time frame. 🚨 For example, a club with 90 members with minimum stat req. of 10 mcs stats will have an easier time to complete faster a long “4-5 hours” party (if only all 90 members are online) for example. 🚨 Other factors can be taken into account such as the invites that slow the interest of testing the parties. Miscalculation in completing previous party before starting the testing, etc.
It's mostly all timing. We typically try to start testing here when we can't fit another party in before changeover so our clubbies can get the most amount of drops in their day. Even if we're not an ec club we still want to help them meet their hunt goals. If we're testing PRO here there's certainly more time needed to complete it but when we do POTD sometimes the parties go by faster than expected, and completing testing before changeover isn't ideal. 🥲 Also depends on which admin is online when, and from what timezone, and who's comfortable with using forums to sign up. We still have IRL to attend to as well. All in all p/potd testing is all based on clubs volunteering to do so, and it's work enough for GoddessHailey to be updating the fourms for us continually so we can be organized. Arranging for all the clubs to finish testing shortly after changeover would be a hectic amount of ducks for anyone to get in a row over letting them fall in when changeover dictates. May I also add that not many clubs are willing to test for potd/ppotd, resulting in some clubs testing more than one party per day prolonging results.
