  1. Im going to be looking at houses this week coz have to move. Its gonna be up to me to pick the house that we live in. Im not at that level of adult yet.

Is there any questions i should ask while im there 😶 gonna be renting if that makes a difference.

Ik to take lots of photos but thats about it. Got about 7hrs till gotta be gone to get there in time

  2. I mean the questions would depend on what it is you’re looking for… we’re moving next month and some of the things we needed was an electric hookup for our stove/oven, same for our washer/drier. Some homes have gas hookups, ours are electric, so that was important. I wanted a place with city water. If you’re renting, see how your landlord would feel about repainting, hanging things on walls, if those things might be important to you.. how long the lease lasts, who handles lawn care… I mean it really all depends on what you need/want in a home.

  3. Its not a thing here to repaint the house or whatever coz dont own it. But that all kinda makes sense i guess

  4. Look for wear on the roof, you don't want it to rain inside your house.

Check the basement for signs of dampness, mold will grow on anything you store down there if there's water getting in.

Test out the water, smell it, drink it, make sure it's not off colored.

If you find piles of sawdust that means termites. Also look for mouse droppings etc.

Turn on all the lights and make sure everything is functioning properly.

  5. I am an adult

  6. I cant drink the water out of the tap coz the stuff that gets put in it. It makes me sick. Have to filter it

  7. Bring someone with you that can.

Also bring a nightlight or something and test all the outlets

  8. THIS. yearssssss ago moved into a house to rent and found out later that only half the outlets worked! Also the first apartment I lived in at 18 didn’t have an outlet in the bathroom, which has since become something I always look for 😂

  9. My first apartment had water that smelled like rotten eggs 🤮

  10. That woulda been a good idea. Also couldnt bring anyone coz my mates work full time and my dad sent me coz he sleeping during the day

  11. Water type matters a hella bunch

I moved homes a few months ago and still tryna figure out what every light switch actually goes to 🥴

also since you’re renting it’s good to take photo/written note of any kinda damages and things because eventually they could use those against you if you try to leave. They’ll farm your bank account til it dtw

  12. Did you like the place?

  13. Yehh was pritty good. Desent sized rooms. 1 bedroom will never get sun tho coz its close to the back of the section which is just a hill of trees and bushes so will be interesting to see how cold it gets in winter. Theres a fire tho so should heat the house up good. Nice quiet area. Alot closer to the city so will be alot cheaper in gas to. And theres a safe easy walking track from there to the city to if hypo kicks in and wanna walk instead. Both bedrooms have a built in wardrobe so plenty of space for all our stuff
