I was just wondering when the pricing in this game changed. I was a player 5 years ago and then had to focus on real life stuff and now I've come back. Back then, people would be willing to trade items for items of equal stats, because that's what matters in the game... your stats. But now it's only for chibis and bentos, neither of which I have much of. I tried offering someone a floor and wall (37.5kcs each, totalling 75kcs) for a bedside table woth 75kcs, but they said no, I had to trade MORE THAN TWICE what I offered - 5 floors/walls, which is way more stats! They said "pricing" but for ECs, the table is 39 and the floors and walls are 19 which makes my combination worth more... It's not just this instance but others too. When did the pricing system change??
Back in my day, you paid $5 for the strongest avis in the game. You could buy dns, but there was a cap where you could only use 25 a day and 6 per war or party. (I think it was 6? Something like that) So, I guess pimd was always a little bit play to win but it felt fair. Now it's just crazy. I was way more likely to spend money when it felt like I could get ahead with $5 or even $20 here and there. I refuse to spend money now, it's pointless. Anyways, my opinion on your question is that pimd became crazy and the trading didn't make sense anymore when people started dropping hundreds of dollars at a time. They pretty much bought the game and can control whatever they want with unlimited spending. And let's be honest, anybody who's dropping hundreds of dollars on this game has some serious mental problems soooooooo the game is being controlled by lunatics. Embrace the crazy I guess 🤷♀️
When players became aware of scarcity and aesthetics became more influential to the demand of certain items.
and rares are rares and collectibles are collectibles and items can be all three of those things and more.
I dont think any of that should matter. The point of the game was to form a network of people and build your stats as strong as you can so when huge sfws break our your team is prepared. That's all dead now. It's sad.
OH! And remember when you used to be able to LCBC. That was fun. It's unattainable now. Screw you ata. Fun killers.
@-_-Big-_-Mike-_- used to collect rare items before they had stats. Even before my time, he had tonnes of rare scavenger items, green gilt eggs, and the rarest items from the times. As soon as there was a market for items, there was an interest in rares and a value attached, even before items were given stats. It was way less known, then, but looking at his showcase you could tell that the guy made bank by discerning value.
5 years ago i wasnt even out of school yet. You seriously cant expect things to stay the same after 5 years.....thats a fuckn long time
I know, but I guess I expected it to be better. You used to be able to unlock boxes by hitting parties and earning things to unlock them... now all the (main) boxes for hunts are paid only. It's just sad to see it pretty much impossible to do anything without paying.
Can do pritty much everything without paying. Ive only spent money 2 times on this game in the 3 years i been playing. 1 was a impulse buy for a avatar and the other was for the cheapest ec pack to do a fast name change. Ive never spent a penny on any actul gameplay stuff and im im st going fine. You dont have to spend money at all on anything if you dont want to
How did you get that bookshelf and other furniture without spending EC to open boxes? The timer boxes give much lower chances at furniture, etc.... it's almost impossible to get good furniture and event progress without opening the EC boxes.
Point is further proved by this hunt, to get the good story avis you have to pay $20..... that's an insane amount of money
Trading with other people for chibis. Pr you can also get lucky and get furni from lite boxes and timer boxes which are free to open
Trade is how I've always tried to compete with paying players. Back in the day, I could outcompete some of them but I had to be very active to get all the items I did. To this day, I still like to think that the stuff in my showcase is far beyond what the average player could achieve even with a few cat cafes sprinkled in. If you give a toss about your dorm, a good one is relatively easy to trade for, and you will get all the pieces eventually from lite boxes if ur willing to play the long game and focus on more important objectives while that comes about. Good avatars have always somewhat been p2w content, seeing as none can be bough for cash only ever extra credits. I dislike very much the high %misc bonus that the unattainable ones have and how unfair that makes the game. They could just as easily make the difference aesthetic and most people who get them now will still pay for them, then. As the devs make pvp less relevant, those stats don't need to ruin our enjoyment.
