Ima be more broke as fuck so wont be able to afford butter coz that shit expensive as fuck as it is. So whats some good vegan baking stuff that you like to make and tastes good? Not going vegan just wanna be able to make food still. Will always have milk and eggs but wont be getting butter again for a while. Im looking on google to but seeing what actul people have to say to
I'm not a vegan but I'm a trained chef. You can substitute tons of stuff for butter when you're baking. Applesauce, avocado, peanutbutter, yogurt. The list is a mile long.
Avocado is expensive as fuuck. Same with yogurt. I think i cant have peanut butter coz it makes my throat go weird and i hate the smell anyway πΆπ idk if apple sauce exists in anything other then baby food but will have a look. What other ideas you got
You know those bananas that are about to go bad so you throw them in the freezer and tell yourself you're gonna make banana bread with them but you never do? Those make a good butter substitute. Also if you can't buy ready made apple sauce, buy the big bunch of apples that the grocery store has marked down super cheap because they're about to throw them away. Then peel and core them and cook them on low with some sugar until they turn into mush.
You can put bananas in the freezer, but you should only do it if you're about to throw them away. They turn brown and get mushy. Typically this is what is used to make banana bread. It can also be used as a butter substitute for baking or banana pancakes.
Oooooo thats a good idea. I buy them for that sometimes or cake or muffins n but then get distracted n forget they there n then they just end up thrown away coz to much black
I donβt put bananas in the freezer either, I was commenting on the question of whether or not bananas can be put in the freezer.
