Book Recommendations

  1. Anyone have any book recommendations? I read just about anything. Or want to start like a book club?

  2. Read the Odyssey

  3. Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse
Saved me in the AP Lit exam a few years back, and was a beautiful read

  4. This amazing book series from P.C Cast
Start with book one Moon Chosen, then book two Sun Warrior and then third Wind Rider. There's suppose to be 5 books but book 4 ( Earth Walker ) and book 5 ( Whale Singer ) haven't been published yet. Tho I recommend the first three highly, I've read them over again a few times and still love them.

  5. Wonder Show by Hannah Barnaby. YA but not a romance. It's about orphans and one who runs away to join the circus.

Child of the Morning by Pauline George. Historical fiction. It's about the second and longest-reigning female Pharaoh (not Cleopatra, which is what everyone says when I recommend it. She was never a pharaoh). Her name Hatshepsut.

  6. All the light we cannot see.
    The book thief.
    A thousand splendid suns.

  7. Little Brother by Cory Doctorow

It's a YA novel but it's one of my favorites.

  8. Oh apparently you can read it for free? That’s cool

  10. Looking for Alaska is one of my favorites!

  11. If you're into mythology/fantasy novels, I recommend reading Rick Riordan's books.

For crime, try James Patterson's Women's Murder Club and Alex Cross book series.

I also want to recommend the book series Fearless. I haven't read everything from it but its really interesting.

  12. Oh, I had no idea! I bought it paperback when I read it in the midish 2010s. Knowing the author and the content of the book though, I'm not surprised he would make it available for free.

  13. All the light we cannot see was amazing. I wasn’t a big fan of the book thief

  14. I read perks for a whole year once. Each time he wrote an entry I set my alarm and read it on the corresponding day.

I liked 13 reasons as a book better than show. I’m not into the show at all

    The Picture of Dorian Grey

    Lord of the Flies

Journey to the Centre of the Earth

    Harry Potter

I use Wattpad to read a lot of classics for free, but you can also find pdf versions to download. Wattpad also features a ton of user-written stories as well, though, so there's literally something for everyone.
