Its how most people here is. No bulshit or fuckng around just straight up. Is other places not like that?
I know a lot of people here beat around the bush. That's also annoying though cause like.... just tell them how you really feel. It's something I struggle with too irl. I wish I was more blunt and honest so I appreciate seeing other people like yourself be who you are. Generally you can't please everyone. And most of the time someone is always gonna have some issue against you, but to try and fit yourself into a very specific box is gonna make you lose your mind. Don't do it.
I feel like maybe sometimes people read your wording or tone as aggressive. A lot of times it's you just being frustrated and it isn't a personal attack on the person, but the people don't really know and can find that off-putting. For example, how you react when people suggest avatar trading is usually when I see people get upset. They find your bluntness unnecessary and offensive. I personally don't have a problem with it but I haven't been at the receiving end of it. I'm sure I might be a little more concerned if it personally affected me. Wording and defining a tone over text like on the internet can be difficult, so how people are reading your messages isn't always your fault on how you word it (although you do have partial responsibility) but can also be people just misinterpreting it. Like I said, I know you're frustrated with avatar trading being suggested in general because I know you and I know how much it gets suggested. But a person that doesn't frequent forums might see you saying, "Fucking stop with the avatar trading, it's fucking annoying" and think you're angry at them. I like to state things matter-of-factly sometimes and people take offense to that. I like to remind noobs of the rules if I see em breaking ToU and I give copy-paste ~professional~ warnings. And you'd be surprised at the amount of people that act like I killed their best friend. Like dude, I was trying to help you, did you want me to slap a bunch of exclamation points and heart emojis on my post telling you to not advertise your snap?
Theres a extension thingy i saw that was in alpha of a thingy you can download that shows amd says what the tone of what wrote is n but i dont remember wtf it was called n idk if its got off alpha yet or if it just never happened or if something else like it exists or not. The moment i i s it i knew i need it tho
Let me see if I can find it for you. Edit: Here is something that looks useful. It was the first result after googling.
Idk other words thats fuck off with it but not fuck off with it. Its the words my head says to put every time
"Stop" is good. Add a please too. "Fuck off with the avatar trading" ➡️ "Please stop with the avatar trading." You get your point across, still blunt, but less aggressive.
You could figure out how to change your phone's autocorrect from "fuck off" to "please stop" 😂😂😂 What kind of phone do you have? I can look up a tutorial for you.
I turned auto write off coz it kept putting words i didnt even write. Like it would change something like 'that' to 'give' and idk why
I think you need to give yourself some more credit and stop being so over critical of yourself. You have friends they will love you for who you are and not want you to change.
The only person that needs to like you, is yourself. At the end of the day, when you lay down on your pillow and close your eyes, that's all that will matter. Whether you can live in your head with the decisions you made that day. I suggest taking some time for yourself. Sometimes, it can be hard, but sitting in the quiet with your own thoughts is powerful for understanding who you are. Meditation is great, but easier ways are just to pay attention to your own thoughts while you do mundane daily tasks. One of my favorite moments to pay attention is while I'm washing my face in the evening and brushing my teeth. Do you like the way your soap smells? Where did you buy the soap? Do you prefer hot water or cold? Do you leave the water running while brushing your teeth or turn it off? Then you decide if the answers are ones you like, and aline with your personal views. Ie, I turn off the water, to conserve it, and I like that about myself. Unless you are causing physical or mental harm to another, nothing is wrong with you. How others choose to interact with you is on them, 100%. Just like how you react is on you. If you don't like how you react to something, take time to think about it, and how you would rather react the next time.
