lol im late but if its on the internet it stays on the internet there really is no getting rid of anything really
Everyone is overlooking the fact that they’ve stated they’ll get lawyers involved if things are posted in full also, under 7 minutes left. Rip 🥺
But imagine hundreds, if not thousands of people reuploading. Why waste your money with lawyering up to sue fans when new people are just gonna pop up and do the same thing. Massive waste of time, energy and money
It’s happened before with Mark specifically, as he’s deleted series with streaming the deletion, etc. and once the threat is there, the actual rate of re-upload does lessen dramatically. He also has lawyered up against these things in mass before, especially with mass reproduction of merch, etc.
Merch is one thing, I understand that, they would be losing potential profit, but the videos are something else entirely. There's no profit to be made from the videos once they are removed. I don't disagree with their concept of deleting the videos and account after a given time, and maybe I don't fully understand it because I never watched them but it just seems like just a gimic that someone has the money to reinforce.
The youtube channel might be deleted. But the unus annus image and brand is still 100% owned by mark and ethan. They have only privated most of their stuff not fully deleted it. They literaly OWN those videos. So just like any other video that gets copyright striked coz of the owners not wanting their stuff taken for free, Mark and Ethan can and will take down videos that are reuploaded ANYWHERE
Saying this is like saying. Why listen to speed limits when so many people speed anyway. Why not just take stuff without paying coz so many people steal anyway. Just coz so many people do it it duznt make it ok. Mark and ethan are protecting and defending what is theirs
I get what you’re saying. The entire channel was to teach a lesson, to themselves and fans. Since Mark has done this type of thing in the past and seen the type of reaction it gets (discomfort from fans not wanting content gone), I personally think he was working with Ethan to teach that it’s just the way life goes, and that’s that. 🤷🏻♀️😂 The issue isn’t their own profit, it’s enforcing the lesson and keeping others from thinking they may profit on content that is stolen. Mark has and will take legal action against stolen and reuploaded content, especially because if someone is doing that they are NOT a fan, as someone considered a fan wouldn’t completely disregard everything they’re saying to do. Clips are fine, full video uploads are not.
It's called Unus Annus and like mentioned before their channel was deleted but there are still people reposting some of their videos if you want to watch
