From what I’ve seen personally, and I’m not speaking for every situation everywhere because I don’t know, but I’ve seen most of this happen with sports rather than a men’s only facility. I’ve seen women demand that sports teams allow women and girls to play and tryout with men and boys. But none of them agree that men should be able to do that with women’s teams. 🤷🏻♀️ it gets complicated.
Because allowing women join to men's teams would make the "women's teams" obsolete by making sports unisex. Men's sports, for the most part, are the ones most organized and most funded and most forefront in society so it would make sense to transform those into unisex teams than to do so with women's teams.
Do you mean like football in schools and stuff? Which a lot of women are never given the option to play/learn? At least in my junior high and high school, the boys all got to learn every sport but for football and basketball, they separated them from the girls and we stayed inside and continued to finesse volleyball
🤔I went to a hick-town school & we played all the sports co-ed. We even played co-ed dodgeball. If ever there was a sport that should be segregated it's dodgeball.
There were never any dodgeball injuries for me or anyone I knew all k-12 and then university dorms started holding dodgeball games and everyone I knew had broken arms/sprained ankles, bruises everywhere 😐
Omigod I should. I need to make some more first year friends then tho to get invited to watch. It's only the first year dorms that do dodgeball, it's like an icebreaker activity they hold
