The Annoying Comments of COVID-19

  1. this has nothing to do with my comment- yes theres a river called Ebola river, and theres a virus called the Ebola virus, the virus was named after the river so the town it was nearby wouldn't be associated with the diseases stigma. this still doesnt have anything to do with the fact that viruses cant have a race (which was my claim)

  2. this is very well-spoken (or written) folks should take the time to read this

  3. I believe it was sarcasm dear

    Phobia and LetsGoBrandon like this.
  4. Definitely this.

In times of crisis people tend to want to find a scapegoat or reason for why things are happening.

Like OP said though, it is quite unfortunate to blame people due to race or ethnicity.

  5. That sucks tbh. That's another reason why people should take basic culinary courses

  6. most likely, still confusing to me even if it was sarcasm

  7. Remember when you said you weren't a racist?

Oh yeah also, remember when you were making discriminatory comments about me based on my nationality?

    good times

  8. I'm not going to play this game with you. If you have nothing positive to contribute, move along.

  9. It is positive tho. I'm contributing to this thread by calling out your discrimination toward Latinos in a thread about how discrimination is bad.

  10. According to Dr. Fauci? That guy is a fraud.

Now let's do some fact check on your original posts. The no. Of deaths due to covid-19 is being over reported. Why?

The hospitals have incentive: Medicare pays them $5k for an ordinary pneumonia death, but $19k for a Covid19 death. $39k if a ventilator was used.

Also, if u check CDC data and compile it week wise, the total death due to any disease week wise is less than the total deaths in the past years.

Racism: it's not just the west that is being racist. It's worse in China. People from west are being beaten, are being treated as outcasts and being called virus carriers, etc.

  11. No. We all won't die. People with good immunity aren't even showing symptoms. The virus isn't as fatal as it is made to look. More deaths = more fear

  12. p.s op might wanna do their own research and stop relying on MSM for their source of information.

How about you start with what PCR test actually is and how it can be manipulated in labs. A country can decide to show a spike in the no. Of cases and flatten the curve by just changing the no. Of cycles.

Also, the scientist who invented the test said it can only be used for research purposes, not to diagnose diseases. You might also wanna read up on how Fauci goofed up with the HIV.

Fun fact: there's no evidence that AIDS is caused by HIV.

Fauci is a pig. He has vested interest in all of this. Go read up about Fauci's investments in coronavirus vaccine. No wonder he isn't in favor of treatment through hcq.

Look deeper, crunch some numbers, stop sensationalising the virus. These lock downs have to stop

  13. I mean fear is a large part of it. But I’m still staying in quarantine due to the fact that even if I can survive it, there’s many people who can’t.

I also don’t think the lock downs should just stop. If you look at what happened when Florida opened its beaches back up, there was a pretty big spike in new cases.

I don’t think it’s a matter of if the virus is fatal for everyone, but it’s just that we as people should be considerate to those who don’t have as healthy immune systems since we have the ability to do so.

  14. 1. Take the data of countries who haven't locked down and compare them with the data of countries who have. It speaks volumes

    2. Lock down was just meant to reduce the burden on hospitals so the spread is slower, but there's gonna be spread regardless. Even if we assume that lock down is the right strategy, the question is, how long do u continue the lock down for? Until the vaccines come out? Which won't be before a year?(unless bill gates and china decide to release it earlier) You do realize how many people will lose jobs and die of hunger and stress in that scenario, right? Look how Korea, Austria, Belarus, Sweden, etc. Are doing it.

    3. Prolonged lock down will kill the healthy ones, covid-19 will kill the already sick who would die sooner anyway. You have to choose between the two.

also, like i said, if u do some number crunching you'll notice that there has been no spike in the number of deaths from all diseases. In fact it has gone down a tad in 2020.

But yeah, I agree social distancing is necessary at this point, but a complete lock down isn't the only way to do it

  15. "The sick" includes people w asthma and other seemingly minor respiratory diseases, people who definitely would not have died v soon anyway.

  16. I agree. but we have to choose between the healthy and the sick. We have to let one or the other die. Also, the no. Of deaths from all prolonged lockdown would be significantly higher.

  17. Oh and this is important. With all of the very clear vitamin D data coming out with regard to COVID-19 severity we now must admit that being told to cower in our homes during a quarantine has downsides.

  18. Oh no I agree actually. But for example in my area, the number of deaths and amount of people diagnosed has been increasing more so the need for the healthier people to be safe is definitely necessary.

I’m not saying that every country or city needs to take the same measures, but those cities that have an issue already should be more cautious.

Just following the advice and regulations of local government officials is what should be done imo. As they tend to know the numbers a bit better in your own area.

  19. I mean. People can take vitamin d vitamins. I am one of the high risk peeps and I know a lot of other people who are so am a bit biased but I'd rather this not be the way i go

  20. Totally agree. Identify hot spots and seal them and let the rest of the country function properly is the way to go about it.
And separate the old population from the young
