Why doesn’t PIMD end events, taking out the ability to earn drops from party, but keep quest line opened so you can open all your friggin timer boxes???? Answer: because moneygrab
How are they money grabbing via free timer boxes................. i swear sometimes people just throw out critique buzzwords and think they're spilling tea 🥱
What? Lol how exactly do you want the event to end but the quest to remain open when that would literally mean the event didn't end......... I am lost. You can open timer boxes anytime. The hunt items won't amount to anything after the hunt but you can still get good items, furniture, avatars and so on. But if you want all your boxes to count for the hunt, there are always speed-ups to be used and ATA has been generous with those.
I’m so confused by this, do you mean having a quest line open so when you open timer boxes after the hunt the drops still count? If you do then that would defeat the whole purpose of the hunt ending in the first place Like everyone else said you can still open your timer boxes after the hunt ends so it’s hardly a money grab
They want a special quest line that continues after a hunt ends so the drops they get from timer boxes don’t go to waste which is a really weird idea
In addition to what everyone else has said... What about the boxes you open with keys??? The questline should be open forever so I can eventually buy keys and open boxes. Just, no. The point of boxes is the chance at extra goodies without having to buy them.
They're correct. It might be hard to see what they're saying but: A.T.A don't give us breaks between hunts because they want to maximize their profits... Also A.T.A provide us with an excess of timer boxes (too many to open... As opposed to any at all - note not complaining about free things-) so that we'll spend money to open them faster... Also a break between hunts would alleviate that excess of Boxes. And again, that would, in deed, be extra unprofitable for A.T.A. Gotta say, though, that the money they get from just having b2b hunts and having people buy cats to do sessions is far greater than the cash they get from people buying speed ups, and they had b2b hunts before timer boxes. So that isn't the main, or original reason, and is just a profitable coincidence for them. And yes, the motivation for all of that is profit.
Most hunts, I end up with extras. It'd depend on the stats. How many boxes does the average pimd player have on hunt turnover?
I usually have about 3. But I easily rid myself of them. I do not have any old hunt or monthly timer boxes. If this classifies as an excess, I find it to be barely worth an adjustment of hunts' expirations -- especially when ATA recently introduced the speed up reward boxes that provide even more speed ups than we were receiving before.
I also usually have about 3 on average as well, of course depending on how active I've been it can be up to 5 or even none by the end of the hunt. The speed-ups are very useful if you want to open all boxes before the hunt is over, but I would only advise doing that if you need few drops to complete a tier, otherwise opening in a hurry seems like a waste of speed-ups (at least to me).
