Leaderboard opinion

See this doesn’t sound so bad, idk about doubling to 1000 tho but I guess it makes sense.

 

I actually agree with and support this idea

 

I read the title and clicked thinking it'd be some sort of whining, but this is actually a problem with the influx of new players continuously, many of whom stay while less people are quitting in comparison.

I play another game that has a contest concerning all the players, they have a system that continually guages how many players actually enter the contest and formulate percentage leaderboards around that, such as top 20, top 1%, top 10%, and top 30% of who actually participates. I feel like implementing something like that or what you're talking about would re-ignite a lot of players' hopes to get back into the game and actually put in the effort to get drops.

 

They did recently add the Top 1,500 to the main storyline leaderboard, which I think is a baby step in the right direction. I think perhaps maybe keeping the current three tiers and maybe making, say, some of the rewards more broad -- for example, the T10 VIP LB avis being for T100 and the T100 reg LB avis being for the T500?

I also like @LeeJarrett's suggestion.

 

This sounds nice! Actually, everything on this thread sounds great and like it could potentially encourage more players to aim for the Leaderboard.
Because of how it currently is, a lot of players don't even try to get into it, it feels almost impossible and demands lots of effort and spending. More tiers would be fun and bring more people (other than the same old faces) to the leaderboard. Support!

 

I actually wouldn't mind this. There's something to be said for exclusivity of certain things (t10/t100 avatars) but 20 ppl instead of 10 people having an avatar isn't going to make much of a difference, likewise 200 over 100, particularly since it's almost always the same ppl and most of them don't wear those avatars since they have so many collected. I wouldn't make it any higher than that tho.

 

T500 is a lil too easy to get into imo and makes it much less exclusive. I've accidentally found myself in t500 on multiple occasions. But other than that I agree

 

I support this too it has become more and more difficult to keep a spot that high and if they increase it more ppl will be encouraged to go for t200 hopefully I hope they read it

 

Again, rip to all the lb avis that get won and are never used.

Maybe introducing a T250 between T100 and T500, and have the current T100 reg LB avis be on that tier?

 

They could be flexible with the pimd population. Percentage-based isn't a bad idea.

They do need an update by any means
