I spilled hot coffee all over my hand at work (the top bit of the pot was broken and wouldn't sit right but no one told me so it just fell off while I poured for a person and I got burned) and now it looks like lizard skin.
I got a burn from hot caramel popcorn when I was working. A kernel popped right on my wrist when it came out of the kettle, but the scar looks like a sad face so I don’t mind.
Oh no!!! I had a similar burn on my hand when i worked at Starbucks. They had a spout for boilijg water for tea n shit and i turn around to ask a question while pouring some into a cup and my hand went right under the hot water. It looked so bad for a while. Lots of aloe and lotion! Keep it hydrated
I got burnt by the hot tap at my workplace while doing the dishes. I only got burnt in a small spot, though. It was weird
My workplace injuries mostly consist of scratches from dogs and cats, bruises (mostly from bumping into things cuz I'm a klutz and there's lots of metal and concrete), and the occasional dog bite. One time I got "attacked" by a 1yr old Belgian Malinois (luckily she thought she was playing so it wasn't aggression-motivated) and my left calf was literally almost completely covered in large, ugly bruises. I'm so glad she managed not to break any skin. 🤣
Those sorts of injuries scare me more than food and heat related injuries tbh. If I cut or burn myself, i just go get first aid real quick or maybe go to ER. Whereas with animals you don't know when they're going to stop attacking/playing and the danger is always slightly random and then there's the risk of hurting them, too =/ two years ago my neighbor frightened my cat and I had to pick her up and bring her back to my apartment and she lost it and started clawing my face. I got her inside but as soon the door was closed she dug her claw into my chin and I instinctively chucked her across the room. She bounced off one of the kitchen chairs and I felt so bad. She's fine now but I have a smol scar
Luckily, I knew the dog well enough (as she attended daycare so I had known her for months since she had started coming) that I knew she was trying to play and wasn't trying to hurt me. The "attack" lasted maybe only a minute or two and she stopped once I started yelling "ow" and making "yelp"ing noises (so she knew she was being too rough). Most of the intentional aggression situations I have been in, have been trying to break up dog-on-dog fights, but even those don't happen very often.
Ouch! Hope it doesn't hurt too bad anymore and that it heals quickly. Burns suck so bad. I have sensitive skin and already hate when it happens to me even in the smallest spots. I've never had a burn that big, can't even imagine it.
I heard butter is good too that’s what I used when I did the salt & ice challenge in middle school lol😭
