  1. As a Kpop ive always wondered why the whole kpop community has fanwars against each other. some fans tried to justify themselves by saying that the idols they defend dont like each other but we always see that these idols be friends and hang out. this isn't meant to attsck anyone but i know there are alot if kpop fans on this app and even if u don't like kpop u can join in on this convo.

kpop fandoms can be quite toxic too. they attack people in tbe same fandom cause they dont like how they look or how they stand a certain idol in that group. take for instance, when cameron boyce died of a epileptic seizure some BTS fans took to twitter and said be died cause he didn't stand BTS yet he never once said whether he liked them or not. when they said that i was honestly ashamed to be apart of that fandom so i decided tha even if i stan a group i wont join in their fandom because of hoe toxic some can be. the stan loona thing wasn't bad until 'loona' fans started attacking other fandoms in order to make loona and their fandom look bad.

honestly fanwars are overrated and all it does it make the fandom look bad and stupid and makes that certain kpop group look bad whether it be BTS, blackpink, clc, or even (g)idle, no group is safe from the toxicity (dont think its a real word) of their fandom. attacking people online just because they dont like the group u stan isnt ok. people are literally killing themselves everyday because of cyber bullying and some people try and say its a part of life and people gotta learn to deal with it 🙄 yea ok whatever, telling to kill themselves cause of their looks or hobbies or whatever isnt ok and if you think it is you seriously need help. i'm done ranting now.

  2. "Fan wars" are prevalent in every fan community, not just k-pop. I think the rise in popularity of k-pop has just made those more evident. Even intracommunities have individual war within themselves, like ship wars. People just like to argue.

  3. thats true but in alot of kpop fanwars soke fans tell each other to kill themselves snd that it ok if they say it cause its in the name of love 🙄 i know about fan wars in other places like sports but they dont really go to the extreme kpop fans do

  4. I’d say I agree with Hailey. I don’t think it’s specifically just Kpop fans, but it may seem to be more prevalent among them 😮

  5. yea and its sad cause when u think about it a lot of these people just wanna please their fans but instead of being satisfied they are demanding more content whether it be a idol, youtuber, an even and athlete and they physically or verbally attack other fans

  7. No, I've seen plenty of suicide-baiting in other fandoms. Not really sports but I don't really witness sports' debates much. Typically the fandoms that engage in that are primarily compromised of teenagers that just don't know better ー not that it excuses that kind of behavior of course.

  8. thats what i mean. when u see adults arguing they fight for a little theb let it go (sometimes) but teenages like to drag it on. i mean im a teenager but i learned to let stuff go cause sometimes its not that serious. let's say if u were to see someone saying the wrong facts like how old the earth wss and u correct them, if the person who posted it wss a teenager they would drag it out saying how they knew what they said was wrong and did it on purpose a adult would probably say the same but would try to put it in the past. it pisses me off with how petty people can be over little things

  9. I think teenagers just really like conflict, especially now that you can use conflict to stay relevant and get "clout" on social media.

Most of the adults that put it past them nowadays were probably the same crazy in their teenage years and just... like... matured.

  10. tbh i prefer to stay away from 'clout' its unnecessary and showd how much we depend on technology these days. wow i sound old. but its true tho most teenagers try and do everything they can to stay relevent and get fame even if it means doing something stupid or incredibly disgusting

  11. I think clout has always been around to some degree, and clout is just a newer term for it. But I do think, with social media, clout-chasing is definitely on a scale that it was not before. Now the clout teenagers' seek wouldn't just be centered around being the baddest bitch in their high school class of 500 people and more so have like, thousands of Twitter followers and a "fanbase".

  12. yea and the worst thing about it is that girls/guy flaunt about their fanbasr in school and its soooo annoying especially when most if their followers are family, random people, and just people from school

  13. This video is currently topical and it brings to attention different kinds of fan cultures that can be developed.

"STAN" culture is toxic as all fuck in literally every context, and what you're describing is only a by-product of that culture. Idols have to say less idyllic and then their fans will chill.

These airbrushed demigods can only incite their fans to outrageous levels of adoration.

It is the very idea of K-pop idols, and of the stan, and so on. This STUPID exaltation of mediocre people to the status of idol that causes the fans to act in that way. It's the producers' fault.

Asking a mob not to swarm around a car crash or for seagulls not to chase after a beer batterer chip that you throw onto the floor next to them is ridiculous. It isn't up to the fans to chill. It's up to the producers to humanize their GOLIATHS OF UNREACHABLE BEAUTY STANDARDS, INTELLIGENCE, AND VIRTUE.

The reason that people still read Homer's The Odyssey today is because it subverted the bronzen heroes of Greek Mythology, identified flaws, was a tragedy of the life of Odysseus, and changed the way that people perceived these characters, allowing for more authenticity and drama while opening the eyes of the audiences to the questionability of the protagonist's decisions because they often have negative consequences. It also reduced fanaticism.

The reason postmodernism is popular today, in the West, is that it unveils and strips back the cheap, bronzed facades which kept hidden the flaws of great systems and allowed people to be critical of social systems.

Any post-modernist who comes across K-pop idols should revile at the sheer amount of varnish they wear, at the insincerity of their characters, and the lack of humanity in their art. Anyone with a brain should know they're fake, not be a "STAN", and not engage in these wars...

But people are fickle and the producers know that. These wars bring attention and controversy. Stan culture and diehard fans make them a lot of money from merchandising and views and they occupy so much of the average stan's mind that it's pitiable.
These are nefarious business practices and people will continue to fall for them no matter what you say.

Thanks for pointing out a glitch in your matrix, now just look deeper at its actual cause, thanks.

  14. i'm gonna be honest i don't understand most of what u said but i don't have my glasses so some stuff is blurry butnu are right about thid anr thats why im glad i don't even buy merch or anything and prefer ti watch the videos 1-3 times. but can u explain this more cause u make an interesting point and i wanna 'hear' more of it

  15. They're not real people.
They're too perfect, and them being perfect means their fans will be even stronger fans.
And stronger fans with stronger feelings do more wacky and emotional bullshit.

It's important to have human characters that are relatable and stuff so their fans can be more down to earth and not do crazy things like that.

The producers choose to have crazy fans and it's on them to change, or for someone/something to regulate them.

  17. Oh yeah I definitely see what you’re saying 😕 It’s unfortunate that some fans act like that honestly.

  18. I honestly don’t stan some groups because of some of those said fans, which is not fair but 🤷‍♀️ I just dont need that negativity in my life. I try not to listen to the gossip and whatnot though and I should really give those groups a chance.
