Hey babes! Post your skincare routine and favorite brands and any tips and tricks down below! Winter is a harsh time for skin so curious about what you all love! I'm currently #Obsessed with Kiehl's. It's the only thing I will probably ever put on my face. Favorite products: Kiehl's ultra facial cream, kiehl's deep pore cleansing mask, calendula foaming face wash, calendula toner, ultra hydrating toner, ultra facial hydrating mask. Would recommend trying the Korean 7 skin method if your skin is super dehydrated btw. #ProcrastinatingDuringFinals
I used to have a very involved skincare routine when I was a teen because I needed it. Now i don't rly need to do anything. I've been using lotion and lip balm a lot more for that winter dryness but das it. I usually just rinse my face with water and sometimes an exfoliator. I think korean skincare routines (and most skincare routines) are a marketing scam and way too extra. Cleanser and moisturizer is all you rly need if your skin is bad
My skin is clear and soft. That's all I want. Don't find it necessary to purchase anything more or to develop an overcomplicated routine when I already have the typical desired results by practicing basic hygiene.
Have you seen the last human on doctor who? Thats my skin care routine edit: also procrastinating during finals.
I have a bunch of different things I use honestly. I follow a similar pattern to Korean skincare routines.
@Wednesday @Muschi My usual/daily *routine* isn't super crazy tbh. I usually just wash my face, tone and hydrate and then moisturize. I can agree the less I do to my face the better. But my skin is actually pretty sensitive and gets oily when it's irritated and dehydrated. I think korean skincare in the west is kinda over hyped but the basis of it "treat your skin with care and hydrate hydrate hydrate" isn't bad. So haha I still layer my toner 7 times twice a day everyday religiously because my skin feels so much softer. Not everyone needs the same things haha.
Yeah, everyone's skin is different. While mine doesn't require much work, I totally get that others need more maintenance. I'm lucky that my skin behaves.
Well I found this rose water...wasn’t looking for it but it seemed good. And so far I like it! Called Rosense (says it’s 100% pure rose water..) but it feels so good on the skin and hair) I recommend it
I use a citrus facial wash because I like the way it feels like it "wakes up" my skin. I'm using some yuzu one lately. I always try to find more gentle products with more natural ingredients because I have real sensitive skin. After, I use toner, at the moment it's a rose water spritz that I'm loving. Then a moisturizer, one with a light one during the day in the summer and a heavier one at night. Currently, I'm using a coconut oil and hibiscus one day and night because, well, winter. In the summer, I was obsessed with a watermelon water moisturizer from. Purlisse that probably wasn't as natural as I usually like, but was really amazingly light and felt great. I use coconut oil as makeup remover, and a witch hazel algae blemish stick for breakouts- always once a month 😪 and sometimes from my glasses sitting on my face. I do love using facial scrubs a couple of times a week instead of face wash, and I also love a good face mask a couple of times a week. Im always trying new ones. I feel like the act of treating yourself, relaxing and putting on a mask is almost more important than what it's actually doing to your face, so long as it's not burning. Which- I do have to be careful about. I guess I have a pretty involved routine compared to some, but I try to keep the steps minimal. I don't see the need in putting product after product and layering it up on my face, or using several products that do basically the same thing because it's part of the steps. I had a friend who was obsessed with Mary Kay, and that suggested skin care routine was severely redundant. 🙃
AHAs, BHAs, enzymes, a strong hyaluronic acid and retinoid and whatever you do burn yo fackin coconut oil
