The last time I heard about unions doing anything at all was in history class so yeah they kinda are. Donāt even get me started on police unions.
Um, unions get a lot of attention in the news... especially when there's a strike ongoing or planned. I suggest you look into those, and maybe touch up on what you learned in history class since you don't seem to appreciate the importance of unions and how they bettered working conditions in the U.S. I know they aren't ideal now, but they were much, much worse without the work of unions. Your issues with police unions likely lie more within the occupation of law enforcement rather than the function of a union itself.
Regardless, everyone is still much richer than the average person has typically been historically. The average american who has a job and isn't homeless has a warm home and access to food and wearable clothing so no reason to go hungry which is amazing. Just some decades ago ppl from poorer families still had a lot of malnourishment and were underweight.

I get what you mean even though weāre still broke weāre living a lot better than a lot of other people BUT STILL thereās so much money in the world and so much of the WORLDS wealth is refined to only a small percentage of its people.... if we distributed our resources better and maybe aLl wOrKeD tOgEtHeR for once maybe we could better the conditions of others which would make more people available to work and actually contribute to society instead of dying from hunger & disease, hopefully that would have an overall positive effect across the entire planet or maybe Iām just too optimistic lol
