I believe you can still be tempabanned from forums altogether, in addition to individual threads. Not 100% sure though.

I think it's nicer than outright locking the thread. Ofc sometimes a thread needs to be locked, but if it's just one or two people causing issues...

Wish something like this could happen to my neighbors lol even though the police have been to their house so many times but never arrested them. It would be nice to have peace and quiet for once. They are rude af and always yelling at each other all the time even at midnight, since the walls are really thin I can hear ever word, even when they sound like elephants are going down the stairs

 

Your lives sounds like a dangerous movie. Shady neighbors, police and eavesdropping etc. Here, my friend called police once because there was a spider in our bathroom. They came and arrested the criminal with broom. Thrilling af 😂

 

I wouldn't doubt that happening. A few days ago, Philadelphia PD had to release a statement asking ppl to stop calling 911 to say they saw a spotted lanternfly (invasive species in my area)
