My female budgie just had her very first successful hatch, it was the only egg out of a clutch of 4 to make it. She's been trying for so long and honestly I feel like a very happy grandmother at this point. The moment I heard it's little squeaks when I got home tonight, I knew it hatched and my heart literally exploded!! I SCREAMED from the excitement and happiness. I don't want to handle the baby yet since it's very fragile. But I'll be sure to update with pics in 2 weeks!! ππππ ITS SO FKIN TINY. MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT.
LOL idk why but that made me laugh, but budgie is a shorter name for the bird "budgerigar", also commonly known as parakeets by pet stores.
IVE BEEN THINKING OF NAMES AND IDK but I keep imagining its a whittle baby girl π₯Ίπ₯Ί so maybe something feminine? My first thought was Roaney.
Awww yay! Like others said, I hope we can get some picture updates. β€ My grandmother has zebra finches, and she always gets so excited when there's a new baby hatched.
Awhh finches are so freakin adorable and tiny! π And I was literally in the middle of uploading when you posted, hahaha.
Omggggggg it's so tiny! ππππβ€β€β€β€ My grandmother was naming them all after spices (in German), but she's since run out of spices through the years (and she can't remember who-is-who as well as she used to be able to). Do you have any name ideas for the baby budgie yet?
LOL that's such a grandmother thing to do Hahaha and for some reason I have a strong inking that the budgie is going to be female and the name I've been thinking of for some odd reason is "Roaney".
