Did anyone watch the VMAs? What were your thoughts? Were you happy with the outcome? What did you think of the video of the year? Song of the year? Lemme know your thoughts!
Not only do they consider high hopes a rock song, they consider it the best rock song of the year?? Sweetie, no..
Both TØP and Panic! are considered “Alternative rock” but alternative isn’t widely recognized as a genre so it gets thrown into the genre it’s considered the “alternative” of, which is stupid.
They are alternative rock artists, and I acknowledge that a lot of their songs have heavy rock influences, with some of them actually treading directly into rock territory. High Hopes singled out is a pop song. Pop rock if you wanna reach for it. But. It should not be a contender for the top rock song because there are actual rock songs that are pushed aside and not given the recognition that they should.
I love beebo. He's my forehead twin, and so sexy he makes my cheeks clap buttttttttttttt..... High hopes doesn't deserve to win in that category.
We can't forget the song of the year! Old Town Road... Lil Nas was so confident in his song he brought a whole scroll to the VMAs for his acceptance speech 🤣 Nobody just brings a whole scroll for no reason, it's like he already knew 😂
The average consumer who is bored with their life typically watch this. It’s either death or watching horrible award shows for “celebrities”
I'm happy for the winners. The artists deserved their awards for their hardwork. The only thing I can say about VMAs is that if they made a whole other category for "K-Pop", they might as well just make a category for every country so it wouldn't seem so exclusionary.
“K-Pop” isn’t a category made for the country it’s a type of music, a genre if you will, and it is only just starting to be recognized as a very popular genre in America. Apparently it’s actually a very big deal that it’s being recognized at all award-wise in the American music universe.
