My dog is a big baby about it, knocking over shıt and whining. It's a whole ass chore. Had to give him some melatonin to knock him out so he doesn't work himself into a heart attack. Doesn't help that everyone celebrates by setting off fireworks for like the whole week, and then sporadically the remainder of the month. I don't mind fireworks myself, but I don't think people should be allowed to set em off in their backyards in a residential neighborhood. You're like 50 feet from my house and I don't want your drunk ass setting my house on fire tyvm.
Fireworks are illegal here too but ppl still sell them during holidays and stuff. It's one of those lax laws that no one actually enforces
During Canada Day there were some government fireworks around midnight that had my cat pacing around everywhere, berry agitated. Then I think it's done, fall asleep, at 2am some jackass wakes us up again setting off fireworks just a little away from my bedroom window 😤 was pissed
Yeah, I used to love them but since I got a dog a few years ago I don’t like them because she’s so afraid. Poor baby shakes in fear the whole time and we have aaaaaall the rednecks around us lol
