  1. So, a couple months ago, I had sprained and strained my wrist, making my job pretty difficult. I was able to work around the physical labor by commanding others around the office to carry wine cases, hehe; however, most of my work is typing on the computer. Because typing hurt so much, I really cut back on what I considered... "Non-essential" sort of. Updating the website, social media posts, et cet. Now I'm kind of being called out on it because I've gotten too lazy about some stuff, and I'm having trouble finding the motivation to get back into the swing of things. ๐Ÿ˜ช I kind of just wanna sleep.

    How do you guys motivate yourself when you don't feel like doing something that you really should?
     
  2. I tell someone or multiple people that I trust to make sure I do it. If other people know your plans, it's harder to make excuses and back out of them. Someone else will be able to call you out if your excuse is bs while you might be more apt to accept your excuse. Works for things as small as taking out the trash too.

  4. I kind of just rip the band aid off and do it. Like give myself a little mini lecture about how I donโ€™t want to do it last minute.

  5. I procrastinate to the fullest!!!!!!
    Tbh itโ€™s my biggest downfall cuz Iโ€™ll forget I put things off...
    but Iโ€™ve notice when I procrastinate I get things done wayyy better than planning ahead and getting it done early... maybe because I feel rushed and that helps ๐Ÿ˜
     
  6. Yeah, being held accountable can really help. That's probably the #1 trick I try to use. It's been extra difficult wirh my boss on vacay lately. Thank you for reminding me of this tho. Maybe I'll try to reach out to my co-manager to help me. ๐Ÿ™ƒ... Maybe.
    I'm really bad at construction. It would def fall when I'm halfway across ๐Ÿ˜†
    I try this sometimes... I'm really good at ignoring myself though ๐Ÿ˜
    This is me. Ahaha, I swear I do some of my best work when pressed.

  7. I have issues reaching out to people to make sure I am held accountable, so it's easier said than done. Irl I'm very hard at approaching people on my own accord. It's a lot easier online but even then it makes me a little anxious. I'm still trying to figure out how to overcome that one.

  8. But fr, I donโ€™t like leaving things last minute so I typically just force myself to do it. Then I reward myself with something.

    But regarding the topic, I always procrastinate on somethings but I always wanna finish it sooner than later so I can have more time to be lazy once I am done. I reward myself a long nap every now and then.

  15. I work on the task as soon as possible cause i dont like being rushed and pressured into finishing them and in case i need to change something, i still have the time to do it.

    for motivation, i tell the others so that they'll keep bugging me to finish it. I tend to do what they want me to work on when they annoy me.

    (English isn't my first language so i hope you can understand what im trying to say. ) ๐Ÿ˜Š
     
  16. Tryna do a bit of all of them.

    I like to prepare notes, plan, and structure the project, gather information, etc. Early as a bandaid.

    Then add things to it, maybe put some bits together ready,

    And put it all together last-minute

    And reward myself along the way with breaks.
    I also like to leave time for my last minute things. So I can take 3 minute breaks every half an hour to make reaching my next Flow state, faster.

    Telling others helps, too. I sometimes write updates for them.
     
  17. I procrastinate tf outta real life stuff.

    I treat work things very differently, i work on a pretty tight timeline and schedule a lot into my day, create tasks to follow up with that i can mark as complete when finished. I think having a general outline of how your day is gonna look will really help.

    i wish that would cross over into my real life more tbh ๐Ÿ˜‚

  19. Honestly, I never would've been able to tell unless you had said something! Your English is quite good. That's some solid advice, too.
    I'm a big fan of breaks, haha. Usually, this is when I get the most distracted though. Im still working out the perfect work to break ratio for myself.
    Marking task as complete is so satisfying! I love making a list of tasks and at the end of the day seeing little check marks all over it, haha.
