  18. In the last year of her life, my dog Holly went blind due to diabetes. Even though she could no longer see, she still made a point to scramble to find a toy to present one of my family members when we came home as a greeting. Sometimes it took a bit but she always found one and pranced over to the door to drop it at our feet
