    Silence

    What is a silence?

Definition: A silence is when a player is muted by a moderator or by a developer. The player's ability to speak is removed for a certain period of time.

Length: The length of a regular silence is 24 hours. For perm silences, please read the next section of this thread.

How do I know I am silenced?

You will receive a private message and a notification from the developers stating that you were silenced and the reason of the silence. If you are looking on campus chat when you get silenced, you will see something like this:

    Why am I silenced?

You get silenced for breaching the Terms of Use (ToU) and/or Rules of Conduct (RoC).

    You can be silenced for:
    • A campus chat post
    • A wall post
    • A post on forums
    • Your status

    More informations about silences

You can appeal if you believe your silence was unfair but, for a 24 hours silence, there is only a little chance you get unsilenced.

When silenced, you will receive a private message looking like this:

    Perm Silence

    What is a perm silence?

Definition: A perm silence (permanent silence) is when a player is muted by a moderator or by a developer. The player's ability to speak is removed for a certain period of time or forever.

Length: The length of a perm silence is 3 months minimum if you appeal and, if you do not appeal, it will last forever.

How do I know I am perm silenced?

You will receive a private message and a notification from the developers stating that you were silenced and the reason of the silence. If you are looking on campus chat when you get silenced, you will see something like this:

    Why am I perm silenced?

You get perm silenced for breaching the Terms of Use (ToU) and/or Rules of Conduct (RoC).

You can be perm silenced for:
    • A campus chat post
    • A wall post
    • A post on forums
    • Your status

    More informations about perm silences

You can appeal to be unsilenced and, if the silence was fair, you will have to wait at least 3 months before you get unsilenced. If the silence is proven unfair, you will be unsilenced as soon as possible.

    Forum Ban

    What is a forum ban?

    Why am I forum banned?

Bypass: If you bypass in a post in an abusive way (one bypass after every word for example), you might get silenced and forum banned.

Spam: Abusive spam on forums will most likely get you forum banned.

Harmful and offensive posts: Posting harmful and offensive comments can get you forum banned, depending on the importance of your comment.

Pornography: Posting pornographic content on forums will get you forum banned.

    More informations about forum bans

The rules on forums are the same as the rest of the game with a few more things. You can read the rules in a thread made by pimd. The link will be provided at the end of this thread.

    Ban

    What is a ban?

Definition: A ban is when you are blocked from pimd by the developers. You can have your account banned or your IP address banned.

    Notes

This thread is a remake from a thread I made previously for another A Thinking Ape Inc. game. I am not affiliated/representing moderators or developers. The best way to avoid silences and bans is to read the rules and to use your common sense.

I hope that this thread can help you.

    bravo
    Sticky pls .-.

  3. Thanks spikey. You can link it for sure.

  4. I remember when Jordan and them use to make these to actually help people, now everyone wants to be a mod is all...

Many, many significant errors as well.

  5. I don't want to become a mod. What I desire is to help others because it makes me feel better.

  6. I'm not trying to be mean but seriously... Quit ********ing.

  7. Someone obviously wants to become mod .-.

  8. ok, I'll make it clear. I DO NOT want to become a moderator. There is no chance for me to get this position right now and I am not looking forward to get this job anyways.

  9. It's a Good Guide, it should be stickied cause there's nothing like this out there already..

  10. Declines to make himself look better for moderator position. Cool.

  11. Just cos he made a guide doesn't necessarily mean he wants to be a mod

I think pimd as a community needs to pull together to help the new players
    And this guide will.

  12. It does if he makes it fancy. ._. Plus, he's slender. Slender's are no good. (Grammar is amazing)

  13. I never said making a thread made you a wannabe mod. I even said how Jordan made like bb code guides and they were extremely helpful and detailed. This thread is wrong about more than it's right about in everything that's not common knowledge.

  14. Vasto, you act like a kid when they get some competition and when they are worried about not winning their competition. I wonder who, between you and I, really want to be named moderator.
