How do Plunder Bonuses work in PIMD? + Extra Promo 4 u

Happy Valentine's Day PIMD! With today's new Dates came a few questions about Plunder bonuses and how they work. So lemme clear some things up!

First off, please note that individual Cash bonuses such as Dates and Care Packs are additive but do not stack. This has always been the case. Party Promos work slightly different, as the promo multiplier is directly applied to your base plunder, only after which individual Cash bonuses are applied per usual.

Here is some math to help/confuse you. For these examples, imagine your base plunder (the Cash you make without any kind of promo or bonus applied) is 100.

Your plunder with a 3x Plunder Date and Care Pack:
100 * [1 (Base) + 2 (Date Bonus) + 1 (Care Pack Bonus)] = 400

Your plunder with a 2x Party Promo and Care Pack:
100 * 2 (Party Promo Mulitplier) * [1 (Base) + 1 (Care Pack Bonus)] = 400



However, math can be confusing and we could have done a better job of communicating this. It's something we're planning on making more visible in game as well.

So as an extra, from now until February 15th Noon PST, the following Parties will enjoy a 1.5x Party Promo:

- All Parties in the Crimes Against Fashion Series
- Cat Cafe
- POTD and PPOTD: Draw Manga! & Skyhigh Party (PRO)


This means you can now get the following plunder calculation:

Your plunder with a 1.5x Party Promo, a 3x Plunder Date and Care Pack:
100 * 1.5 (Party Promo Mulitplier) * [1 (Base) + 2 (Date Bonus) + 1 (Care Pack Bonus)] = 600

Again, could have communicated this better, but you can combine it. They do not stack, but they are additive. Without using a Care Pack you would have:

Your plunder with a 3x Plunder Date:
100 * [1 (Base) + 2 (Date Bonus)] = 300

The part your missing here is the 2xcp part! If you break this down you get [1 (Base) + 1 (Care Pack)]. the Base is not calculated twice when looking at the entire formula. So the formula becomes:

100 * [1 (Base) + 2 (Date Bonus) +1 (cp)] = 400

You can also think of it as percentages. At base level, a party is always 100% (if it was 0, you would not get anything).

Looking at that base, a 3x Date would add 200% to make it 300%.

Looking at that base, a 2x Care Pack would add 100% to make it 200%.

All of those together would give you 100% (Base) + 200% (Date) + 100% (Care Pack) = 400%
